Pulled into Dubois late this afternoon. Stopped at the Cowboy Cafe for a late dinner. Sat outside in the fresh air. As soon as we saw the menu we realized we had seen it before, in Sheridan, Wyoming! The waitress told us they were owned by the same family, 300 miles apart! We both ordered the Mushroom Chicken fried Steak.... More

Needed a caffeine hit. It turned into an amazingly tasty and unexpected pie stop! I grabbed a coffee and sat outside - enjoying watching the East Grand Teaton Traffic passing by. The staff was quick to keep the coffee cup filled. The warn pie and alamode are still dancing on my taste buds weeks later! I would alter my route... More

This place has the best breakfasts in town. Quick, good food and service. I understand the pies are great, but I didn't have one.

We were in Dubois last week. We dined at The Cowboy three times for breakfast. The menu offers a wide range of traditional breakfast foods. Although we had a variety of servers, they were all friendly. A white board offers a large variety of pie. I didn't have pie last week. But, I have had it in the past. This... More

I had a hamburger that was one of the best I've ever had the first night. The second night I had a HUGE salad. Portions are big in everything, it seems. And the prices are very reasonable. Supposedly their pies are wonderful and famous, but I didn't try them.

We were simply on our way to the Grand Tetons, and figured we should stop here for a gamble dinner (instead of more fast food), and we're so glad we did! Nice people, amazing "country food," great local craft beer, and an overall 5-star experience!

I can't understand why some reviews say the food is homemade. My meal was far from it. The food was terrible but the service was excellent. Service was the only reason I did not give this place a 1 star rating. FOOD I had the chicken fried steak which was typical pre-formed, cheap meat purchased frozen from any food service... More

Awesome steaks, great craft beer. Filet mignon was tender and seasoned perfectly. New York strip was cooked perfectly. Server Josh made great suggestions.

We recently visited Dubois and had many meals here. They were just great, even when they were busy, they made every effort to accommodate us in short order.

They were super busy when we got there. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our food was still prepared quickly. Everything is homemade. Their pie is amazing! Great place!
