Prime rib was tuff and loaded baked potato didn’t come with butter or sour cream. Was disappointed with the meal because of all the good reviews. The other meal was chicken fried steak and it was good. That was the cheapest mealMore

I'm sorry your meal was not satisfactory. I'm sure the butter was put on, it usually melts as its being served. I'm not sure what may have happened with the Prime Rib, we always strive to serve the best food all the time. You may...More
Passing through and discovered this jewel on Travel Advisor. Speaking of jewel, I had their signature sandwich, The Bunk Nut…amazing flavor on perfectly toasted bread. My wife had the Reuben and said it was one of the best she’s had. We each had a local...beer, the Saddle Bronc to wash them down. Everything was amazing including our server Vici. Hopefully we will make it back. Atmosphere was definitely Old West.More
Nice people, decent atmosphere, but prices are extremely high for quality and quantity of food. Chicken fried steak should be a local speciality. Theirs comes frozen in a box. They had a seafood special but ran out of several items, yet didnt reduce the $30...price tag, just gave us less food than the people at the table next to us.More
My wife and I enjoyed our dinner; service was prompt and friendly, even though they appeared understaffed. Fairly long drive from Cheyenne, but worth the trip. We would go there again if in the area.
The Bunkhouse is honestly not worth the drive if you are going for the food. My hubs and I arrived on a Saturday night about 8. The live country music was good but the food was lacking. They didn’t bring our chill or salad (but...did offer free dessert at the end of the meal which we declined). Also no bread. We had a trio appetizer which was edible. We then both had the chicken fried steak which had to have been frozen with package tasting gravy. I had water and my husband Pepsi and our dinner with tax was $45. The waitress was very nice.More
I’m sorry your meal was not as expected. Not sure why you didn’t get your soup or salad. If you would’ve asked to talk to a manager or owner, we would’ve been glad to make it right. If You know the waitress, I could try...More
Top notch! Lots of variety on the menu and everything was delicious, chicken fried steak, chicken tenders, fries, mashed potatoes and gravy and lemon pepper chicken with baked potato. It’s outside of town in the middle of nowhere and it was busy at 4:30 pm....A lot of seating available and outdoor as well but it was too windy to eat outside when we were there.More
The food here is off the hook good. Would recommend to anyone. The service was great and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Went in on the 17th to listen to music and a drink. Treated us like family. Went back on the 18th after the UW game. WOW-packed but they did a great job with the rush. Very friendly staff.
This sounded like an interesting place for dinner while we were passing through Cheyenne so we thought we would check it out even though it is a few miles outside of town. I’m glad we did. We stopped in on a Saturday night and that...is obviously the place to be. They have a band that plays there every weekend and it looked like a regular hangout for the locals. Music, dancing, good local beer. We started with the “Swinging Sirloins” (Rocky Mountain Oysters). Not as good as others we have had, but something we could not get at home. Then moved on to the country fried steak, another item not common on the east coast. Server was great, but it took a long time for the food to arrive. It was fun just being part of what is a regular Saturday night for them.More
The reviews led me here on our roadtrip. We were NOT disappointed. Great food and great service. We arrived about 5 on a Saturday night. The place does book up with local reservations. Keep that in mind. Learned it is the local hot spot place...to be. They worked us in quickly and the beef wellington was so good! We will be back one day.More
We found this place a couple years ago on a brief trip to Laramie to pick up some materials. This time, we purposefully routed (somewhat circuitously!) our journey to go past here so that we could stop for lunch. We had a later lunch, both...got prime rib sandwiches which were outstanding, and had to even sample some pie for dessert. We love everything about this place....the food, the ambience, the people watching, the friendly staff. It reaffirmed our earlier visit, and remains our favorite Wyoming restaurant. We may even have to plan a dinner up here as it's only about 2 hour drive from home...More
Thank you! We hope to see you again soon!
We were doing a family trip across the western US and wanted to find a fun place in Cheyenne as we drove into Wyoming from Colorado. We saw this place online prior to leaving New York and were sold by what was featured to go...there. We are really thankful that we did! The food was superb and we had a sense that would be the case with the prime rib cooking in the outdoor grill as we entered the restaurant. Prime rib was tasty, smoky, barbeque and was really cooked well. Also got the three way sampler featuring loaded potato skins, jalapeño poppers and Rocky Mountain oysters. The Rocky Mountain Oysters was something new but really were not bad! It was like having fried calamari and they even had ranch dressing and seafood cocktail sauce to dip it in for enhanced flavor but it was good to eat plain. Burgers were juicy and tasty. Loved the fries and onion rings which went with it. Getting soda pop and having one free refill was a nice touch as well! A wonderful secluded place that I’d recommend to anyone traveling around these parts in Cheyenne!More
Traveling thru Cheyenne, I wanted a local restaurant with a real saloon feel. I am so glad we stopped here. What a hidden gem this turned out to be! This is exactly what I was looking for, and exactly the kind of restaurant you think...of when you think of a true cowboy western restaurant! As a travel agent, I will be sending all of my clients traveling thru Wyoming here!More
Wonderful atmosphere, outstanding staff, fabulous food!! The place is so enjoyable, live music on Friday & Saturday evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the owner and she gave us some great recommendations on places to visit and see in the area and towards Denver. Highly...recommend!!More
We enjoyed having you visit. with us. If you make it back. again, we'll have a table for you!!!
We were in Cheyenne on vacation and wanted something off the beaten path and local...we found it here! Not only can you eat inside the restaurant with loads of character and band on weekends but they had a deck to eat on as well. We...sat outside for supper and watched the sunset. The staff was wonderful and friendly! Food was delicious and lots of it-had steak.More
