Overall, I was really impressed with this place. The service was great, the food tasty, and the beer cold. Prices were reasonable. The place was clean and the attached bar had a fun vibe. I am certain to return.

Great people! The owners treated us great and made us feel welcome. Met a lot of nice local folks. All the food was good and probably the best burger I have ate. Hope to stay with them again next fall!

This place was WAY better than I expected. The chicken wings were perfect, the patty melt was terrific, and the crispy tacos were the star of the show. They made the shells in house, and I’m fairly certain the beef was local. The service was...very friendly too. I will definitely return to this place.More

This place is so good for breakfast I went twice, you’d have to be a chump to pass up the biscuits and gravy! Some of the best I’ve had in a very long time. And the service was outstanding! My server was friendly and kind....Well if you happen this way you can’t miss it, come hungry!More

Simple wholesome food with friendly help. Visited with French father and son hiking and checking out Yellowstone. Waitress was super welcoming to them. By the time we left we had all visited together. Our clubhouse and fries were very good.

We were starving by the time we found a place to eat, it was about 3 pm and we hadn’t had lunch. I ordered the patty melt and my husband ordered the French dip. They were both delicious! The restaurant was extremely clean and a...good find! The only negative thing I could say is you could hear the trashy mouthed women at the bar. I would suggest closing that off or playing some background music. I ignored it best I could but I would have asked someone to quiet them down had I had my parents or grandparents with me. It was that filthy. I feel like they were definitely locals.More

We traveled to Baggs for a big fundraising event. Normally on Sunday morning in a small town there is little to choose from for food as everything is closed. The Cowboy Inn was the only place open. We were not expecting much and boy were...we surprised! The buffet breakfast was delicious and super affordable. The restaurant was very clean and the staff and owners were very friendly and provided exceptional customer service. If your travels bring you to Baggs Wyoming, don't hesitate to eat here.More

We had the hot roast beef sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich for dinner and both were excellent with the exception of the beef being sliced the wrong way. It was sliced with the grain instead of across the grain. This made it a little...more chewey than it should have been, They could have served me cardboard under that gravy and I would have liked it though. The best beef gravy I have had in a very long time. The service was excellent and very friendly. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast the next day and it was very good as were the huge mound of hash browns that was served with it.More

on the way to "the eclipse" (following day) and stopped here as this was about half-way on our trip. pleasantly surprised ~ though mid-afternoon and not too busy (we'd heard "horror stories" about how all of Wyoming was inundated w/eclipse-seekers) -- "sit anywhere" the hostess...(Jennifer) said -- so we sat at the bar. restrooms were clean, interesting décor, quick and attentive service -- and two of us ordered "reuben" (ruben?) sandwiches -- we were really impressed with the side-mashed-potatoes. I am not kidding. very filling, delicious, kind of sad that there seems to be a "for sale" sign out in front -- hope that, whatever it means, doesn't change this place from what it is. basically inexpensive, and again, we enjoyed/appreciated our mid-afternoon lunch time there.More

I had steak for supper and it was better than very good. Gracious hosts and at a good price too. Reasonably fast as well. Quiet setting, even romantic.

This is a combination restaurant & hotel (see separate review of the hotel), which, considering it's in a fairly isolated part of Wyoming with a population of 435, is amazingly good!! As we were covering a large area on this trip, we actually based out...of Baggs for almost 2 days and ended up having breakfast, lunch & dinner here. All were very healthy portions, prepared exactly as expected, very tasty, served quickly by a very friendly staff and priced reasonably. You won't go wrong at this place, whether for food or the hotel section.More

Baggs, Wyoming & the Cowboy Inn are exactly why I encourage folks to get off the Interstates!! We were just passing through Baggs early afternoon and stopped to see what this place had to offer (and not expecting much). Well - surprise!! The atmosphere and...sheer size caught us off guard - absolutely beautiful. The service was friendly and what we've come to expect in the small towns you'll find scattered all over Wyoming. The food was very good (although my buddy's steak sandwich had a large piece of gristle) and will see us back here the next time we're in the area.More

There aren't a lot of options in the Little Snake River Valley, so I spent on night at the Cowboy/Drifter's Inn. I know they have beautifully new remodeled rooms, but I was looking for price this time, so I went with an approximately $85 room...in a renovated mobile home on the edge of the property. It was clean through and through, and came with a fridge and microwave. Being a mobile home, the walls were thin, and the heavy truck traffic on the highway was easy to hear. I was surrounded by oil field workers in the rooms all around me, and their diesel trucks were not quiet, but that's no fault of the hotel-- that just comes with the territory. With earplugs, I had a decent night's sleep. The building is removed from the main hotel, which made me slightly vigilant about safety (as a single woman traveling alone). I had no issues however. Not enough blankets in the room for my taste- just two thin summerweight blankets on the bed. In my opinion, it was pricey-- I was quoted between $85 and $100 for a single room after tax. It was during hunting season, so perhaps those are peak season prices? All in all, a decent stay.More
