Tacos well prepared and seasoned. Super flavorful fresh guacamole, perfect margaritas. Pounded copper ceiling, wood bar and Spanish ambiance. Hard to believe how lucky we were to stumble upon this fine quality restaurant in a small town in northern Wisconsin. Worth the drive to Woodruff,...and conveniently located across the street from a lumberjack show. Do both. 🌵More
My wife and I met there for dinner on a Saturday. There were two amazing bartenders, and a great waitress. We ate at the bar to save on table space. I had the pork burrito, my wife had fish tacos. We enjoyed the people, and...the atmosphere. All the businesses in that block are friendly and look out for each other.More
We were hesitant to stop given some of the reviews but we really want to support local businesses that have survived 2020 and beyond. We were immediately greeted and welcomed upon entering . The bar serves handcrafted Margheritas and a wide variety of drinks snd...beers. We started with freshly made guacamole and warm chips. The staff was very attentive and friendly , the atmosphere was great, the bathrooms were clean and the food was tasty. We will definitely keep this as a favorite.More
We were looking forward to our dinning experience this evening, as this was our first visit. We were not greeted but assumed an open spot at one of the 4 tables. We waited a bit before the waitress met us with menus. She seemed annoyed,...and went on her way. We waited 15 minutes before she returned to ask for our drink orders, we announced that we were ready to order. She wouldn’t take our food order. She returned with our drinks, but never took our orders and went back to washing glasses behind the bar. The restaurant had three other tables who had finished their meals. I approached her and announced that we had been waiting some time to order, she lashed back complaining that she was the only waitress, and that we are welcome to leave. So we left, she screamed at us on our way out.
Doing our best to support small businesses during these difficult times of the pandemic so this was a disappointment for us. It is too early in the season to be experiencing burnout, if you can’t handle the dinner rush, you may be in the wrong business. I won’t be making recommendations.More
The food was disgusting and the waitress was extremely rude. I will never eat there again! We could see the cook and waitress talking about us through the window. Owner/Manager was seated at the bar and didn't care one bit that we were unhappy. It...was a terrible experience...More
A refreshing departure from the standard recombinations of diced tomato, iceberg lettuce, Sysco frozen protein (chicken, pork, etc.), shredded cheese, etc. used in the mass market products. Food made to order with quality ingredients here.
Service can be abysmal, but with a large clientele and...short staff, issues are assured. A few nights ago we were served by a young woman who sported blue hair, a nose ring, a Hard Rock t-shirt, and an “eff-you” attitude, but it was late, she was likely dead tired, so we she brought different beer than ordered, we just rolled with it.
Bottom line, it’s great. One of the best places in the area. A new place working out lumps in a post-covid business world and doing a good job. Eat here. Period.More
food was ok nothing to rave about, beans were bland along with the rice! Dining room was dark and small, prices a few dollars over other mexican restaurants. in all ok but not my first place to return to.
Chimichanga was really, really bland. Rice was bland. Seriously neither had any flavor. Salsa is good and guacamole is good but almost tasted like egg salad(could have been a little cooler in temperature). Our waitress, the young gal with glasses, was super sweet.
