Fantastic Friday fish-fry, great drinks and wonderful staff. Can't wait to return for another great experience.

Nice options and quality ingredients. The prices were insanely low for the quality and quantity. Family dinner and we enjoyed the Korean tacos, Ahi Tuna, and Soprano wrap . Garlic forward in all 3 dishes and temperature was off, possibly kitchen struggles with timing. Otherwise...nice surprise.More

We are locals. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. He has been here before and wanted to spend his golden birthday at High Rock. We had a party of eight adults. I was the 1st to arrive with 3 others....We were waiting for the birthday boy, his girlfriend and her parents. Because all eight of us were not there together, they REFUSED to give us a table until ALL of us were there in the restaurant before they would seat us. Mind you, this is 6:00 p.m., Wednesday in December, and the place is VERY SLOW. They hostess said if a group of eight walked in behind us, they would seat them first, and we would have to wait. I found this lack of hospitality and customer service deplorable. I have never been denied a table before because all of my party was not all there yet. When 2 more of our group showed up we asked will 6 be enough to get sat. She said she will have to ask her supervisor. As she stepped away, we all decided to just leave, and go to another restaurant. We were sat right away, spent our $200+ dollars and $30 tip and left with full tummies and had great service. Just imagine High Rock could have had our money, if they just put us at a table right away in the empty dining room, on a Wednesday, in December where every restaurant is fighting for $$$.More

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Gluten free options and a versatile menu make for many choices. Prices are very reasonable for a location in the center of a resort town.

Had just had a terrible experience at another spot but we had seen this place walking through town so we popped in. Place was clean well lit everyone was very nice and pleasant our server Natahly was absolutely fantastic and a joy. All the drinks...were great and the food was amazing. I would recommend this place too anyone.More

We used to enjoy coming here but they changed the menu and the food isn’t worth coming here anymore. My wife liked the soprano sandwich and it’s only offered in a wrap now. I never cared for their food because I only tasted the salt...that they put on the food. Now all you taste is the smoked taste. I like the natural food taste with minimal seasoning and still now I taste smoke in my mouth. We also like the broccoli salad option instead of French fries and the only way to get them now you have to pay $7 for a ala carte option. The changes will definitely keep us awayMore

This restaurant was recommended to us. The pecan crusted pan fried walleye was delicious. It came with veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. VERY Good! The lower level is more like a pub. Upper level more of a dining room. Downtown Wisconsin Dells. We'd definitely visit...again.More

We'd heard so many good things about High Rock, we decided to try it ourselves. The menu was tired and needs updating which made it hard to actually pick anything we really wanted to eat as anything that was offered, was something you could get...anyplace else. We all had the meatloaf which was okay, not the best and not the worst. The pop rocks cheesecake was hard to eat, once you got into it, it was like eating a block of pure cream cheese-it definitely needed some blending. To be honest, it's a one-and-done deal here. Service was slow, making the wait between cocktails a very long one...with empty glasses all around the table.More

I ate dinner the 3 nights I was in Wisconsin Dells and was never disappointed. Fish tacos were delicious! The Kit Kat dessert was scrumptious! Highly recommended.

Waitress was very friendly and food was good! Fish tacos were a hit in our group. Glad we stopped and even better it was so close to Swiss maid!

The food was phenomenal! I had the gluten-free version of the Harper, which was so yummy! They substituted rice noodles for their regular noodles, which made this dish so tasry and allergen-free for me! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was really cool. I...also had the Purple Rain Martini, which was different, yet still very good! I love the history behind this great restaurant. Thank you, High Rock Cafe, for having gluten-free dishes on your menu. It took worry and misery out of our vacation!More

I recently went to this restaurant for the Fish Fry. I took one bite of the fish (thankfully a small bite) and I started coughing and couldn't stop. My friend I was with said my face, arms and chest were turning red and she feared...she was going to have to call 911. After I finally stopped coughing and settled down, I asked the waitress what the spice was on the fish. She said it was paprika but when she checked with the staff, they mistakenly used cayenne pepper!!! The man sitting next to me said "Free Dinner" but they did not offer that to me. I truly feel my whole dinner should of been free. I will not be returning to this restaurant.More
