Kids loved the caboose & the owner let the kids ring the bell! Kids loved the hot dogs & adults had the polish dog (delicious) but free fries were the best! What a fun & cheap ($14 for four to eat!) lunch!

My family came here because of all the great reviews...and we loved it! It's a little pricey ($3.75 for a hotdog and fries) but the experience is worth it. The owner was extremely friendly, the polish taco was interesting, and the kaboose was cool to see! It's the best place we ate at in Wisconsin Dells and it's a must... More

My son was coming down the caboose stairs by holding onto the hand rail and stepped on part of the step that was not protected by any non-slip material, causing him to fall down 2 steps and hitting his back on part of the steel staircase. He got the air knocked out of his lungs with a pretty bad red/raised... More

If you would like to get away from all of the overpriced chain restaurants in the Dells go visit the Rail Dog. Great hot dogs at a great price! The owner is so friendly and has great stories to tell. It was by far the best dining experience during our holiday!

The owner is a great guy who was warm and welcoming. We got there right when he opened and he let our kids play withe switches and fun stuff in the caboose. His charm and wit along withe tasty dells taco and dells dog he made us were a memory maker. The place is about a block off the main... More

We found this place on Trip Advisor to begin with. Found it just a block off of the main strip in Wisconsin Dells. The owner was also the operator and served us great food. My wife and I split the Polish Taco and the Dells Taco, which were both delicious. The owner was very friendly and struck up some good... More

I was intrigued by the Rail Dog write-ups I had seen even before our Dells vacation - I just HAD to find out what a Polish Taco was (and I won't be spoiling it for other adventurers - you'll have to find out when you go). They have some signage up on the main Downtown road to catch your attention,... More

Rail Dog is a hot dog stand housed in a converted caboose. Better than a regular hot dog, the Polish sausages have a bit of spice. The giardiniera (lightly pickled veggies) is a must-have topping. The Italian beef sandwich is juicy and delicious. The Polish taco (uses a Polish sausage instead of ground beef) is tasty and different. And, really,... More

Enjoyed lunch here and loved it. We were the first customers today and the owner treated us like Kings. It's something different, cheap, and fun. GO!

The owner of Rail Dog is quite a character. Bordering on eccentric, he had our attention before I even got out of the car. He speaks with a Polish accent, is all too willing to let you try things on the menu before you buy, and he had a milion stories for us while we were there. We got to... More
