Two levels of dining in a confined but yet private setting. Hand crafted drinks and mouth watering food to die for.

Great food choices. Wonderful place. I would recommend it to anyone in town or nearby. It really started off our vacation well.

Probably the best filets we have ever had! On Wednesday nights they offer $10 off on a selection of steaks. Really, really good! They were busy, but service was still good. They do recommend that reservations be made. Just a very pretty setting.

I have had dinner here a number of times and have never had any issues with the quality of food or the service which are quite good . It is however at the top of the price in this town of 30,000 and is not competitive with their portions with similar higher prices and rated venues

The Poplar Inn's historic building provides impeccable ambience. Both dining rooms are superb. The 2nd floor includes the bar area .The menu always contains way too many tempting choices, which makes it hard to pick just one. The Towering Inferno is my usual choice, but everything we have tried in our many visits here have been wonderful. The fish is... More

Went as a foursome for a celebration dinner and was pleasantly surprised at both the atmosphere and quality of food. We are not an easily impressed group (a former Chicago restaurant owner, a current pastry chef, and a couple of food snobs- lol), but we were impressed...and happy with all our selections from apps, to wine, to entrees and desserts.... Homie atmosphere and great service. We go there often and it is consistently good. Steak Diane is one of our favorites.

Excellent ribeye, well prepared and marbled. Artichoke and spinach ap was very tasty. Very comfortable surrounding. Nice to have a restuarant of that caliber in a small town.

Groupon for some reason gave me $30 to spend on anything I wanted, so I decided to use it on a restaurant since we don't go out to eat very often. There were only a few selections, this being one of them, so after checking out all of the good reviews, I decided to give it a shot & was... More
