Family owned and operated since 2004. Our high quality food is prepared to order. We boast a daily Deli Menu with over 40 selections, including hand carved corned beef, made to order entree salads, paninis and sandwiches. Our delicious, scratch soups are popular all year round. Three Dessert cases are full of scrumptious desserts that are made from scratch at our family owned bakery ~ Periwinkle's Bakery on Broadway - all by our dedicated and talented Pastry Chef Alicia and her team. Chef Dan's fabulous Friday Fish Dinners offering Pan fried Walleye, Baked and Italian breaded fried Icelandic Cod, homemade potato pancakes with applesauce and our Cod Reubens bring in our loyal, Friday guests (4-close). The Reuben IS, in fact, the best.

I ordered a reuben and ate it on the curb across the street. I don't always eat my food on curbs, but with the global pandemic happening, I went with the curb meal. As far as curbs go, it was good. As far as reubens go, it was great. I used the bathroom. I mean I had to, for a more complete Trip Advisor review. Plus, I had to. There was a sink outside the bathroom. There was also a sink inside the bathroom. I felt a bit odd knowing that people might be washing their hands on one side of the door while I drop poop on the other side of the door, but I had to go. It was clean. I mean, this was/remains a good place to poop. I do want to point out that I WAS a paying customer, as required by signage (please refer to my ordering of the great reuben as verification). The flush was “just ok,” so I did two. I think you gotta be careful on this one because it seemed plugable, IMO. Also, they seemed to have strong suggestions about what can’t be flushed, but this seemed like an historic building and old pipes are hard to maintain. The décor was a nice blend of rustic lights and exposed plumbing, which I felt was consistent. Overall, really nice. I don’t think anyone even washed their hands outside the bathroom door while I was doing the poop. I also don’t think the Mr. Clean Clean Freak was air freshener, but I tried. In any event: the reuben IS the best.

Always Good!

This place never disappoints. It has great salads, soups and sandwiches. The Wellington Panini is delicious with its home made mushroom duxelle. The grilled reuben is the best! The Cobb salad always uses the freshest and finest ingredients.

Enjoyed their food!

The food is always good and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed the Rachel sandwiches and the Cobb Salads. The portions are good and the ingredients are fresh. The only disappointment this time they forgot the gorgonzola cheese in our salads. We ordered for pickup and minor errors do happen-- we will still come back for more delicious meals.

DONT DESSERTS DIABETIC ALERT!!!!!!

The savory soups salads and sandwiches are excellent!!!! However DONT eat there sweet desserts Horrible over sweet Way way way too much sugar I almost went into pre diabetic insulin shock No where in the world are desserts this sweet Overload They need to cut the sugar content in half and use cane sugar not white processed cheap crap that’s making our nation morbidly obese All the international business people in our group who are from Germany France Italy Spain Russia Ukrainian and Israel as well as Japan and Malaysia ALL agreed NO ONE ate their desserts after one or2 bites We all threw it away!!!!!

Susan, The use of excessive exclamation marks and capitalization in text typically indicates that you're a person that speaks and is seldom heard. Perhaps some self reflection is overdue. We are very proud of our bakery and it's wonderful selections. We use premium ingredients and your comments are libelous. This is one of our favorite places for sandwiches and salad. The ingredients are top quality and fresh. Our favorites are the Cobb Salad, Raspberry Chicken Salad, Rueben Sandwich and Wellington Panini. Also the dessert bars are delicious: pecan squares and lemon bars.

We ordered their Cobb Salad to go. We love the fresh ingredients and how it is nicely presented. They also have great sandwiches and desserts. We keep coming back for more delicious food, they never disappoint.

Great Sandwiches

Great food, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Order at the counter and pick up at the window. No wait staff which is great for a quick easy lunch. A variety of sandwich options and baked goods. Worth a visit!

This is one of our favorite place to go for good salads and sandwiches. The food is always consistent and the staff is friendly. Their Rueben Sandwich and the Cobb Salad are our favorite. We are never disappointed here.

Best deli around!

You CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS DELI……, phenomenal chicken dumpling soup served everyday, a lovely lean Reuben big enough to split, and a FULL MENU! Staff are friendly and professional. Don’t forget to check out the amazing deli…..if I had not just baked at home, we would have left with a bagful!
