American Style Bar and Grill located in the Center of Lake Nokomis right on the water! Our food consists of traditional Northwoods favorites with some city and country flair! We have indoor and outdoor seasonal seating, and plenty of boat docks. We are the only location on the lake that sells gas for your boats as well! We are family friendly but our large full bar stays open for a later crowd!

Visited off the lake by boat and they provided nice piers to dock a few boats. They have both outdoor, with umbrellas, and indoor seating available. The view of Lake Nokomis is great. The food is good, servers are friendly, food delivery is slow but you can enjoy a few beverages while you wait. Restrooms are clean and nicely decorated.

Upon arriving at Tilted Loon Saloon for the first time, parking on this Friday Fish Fry night was at a premium - a good sign, we thought - must be great food! The restaurant was extremely crowded, loud and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We put our names on the list (a text will notify you when your table is available) and managed to find a seat at the bar. The drinks were OK (we've had better) and reasonably priced. We waited about 35 minutes to be seated on this busy night, also reasonable. I had the walleye which was served with a side of fries and a plastic cup of Cole slaw and my husband had a specialty burger, which he said was delicious. My walleye was equally good, although the fries could have been hotter; I'm sure the heat lamp got a workout with the crowd. We will return!

We are in the Tomahawk area for the annual Fall Ride and decided to try The Tilted Loon. It was Tue. night and were busy. Lots of parking right outside the door. When we entered the hostess told us to seat ourselves and we did outside at a very comfortable table that held the 8 of us. Steffanie was our waitress and quickly took out drink order and left us each a menu. She returned quickly with our drinks and took our food order. I had the shrimp and wife had the mushroom swiss. All our food arrived together and was done perfectly. Steffanie returned several times to refill our drinks and make sure everything was to our liking. Not so busy that we could sit and enjoy the warm Sept. evening. Steffanie was very pleasant and was fun to have serve us. If you are in the Tomahawk area, be sure to stop in and enjoy the lake, the food, ( you can arrive by land or lake ) and the wonderful staff at The Tilted Loon.

We visited this nice pub in 2022 and really enjoyed the food. We returned on June 27, 2023 and after a long wait, we received our food that we were disappointed in.
Positives: nice toasted bun; flat fries were great; nice atmosphere
Negatives: very overcooked meat that was incredibly dry
I had the mushroom Swiss burger touted as “the best mushroom Swiss burger you will ever have”. Not so much. Minimal mushrooms. Needed to ask for additional teriyaki sauce to give some life to the dry meat. My spouse had the smothered chicken sandwich which was also dry.

This was our second time (during COVID slow-down) to visit Tilted Loon. Initially when we visited earlier in the season, there was distancing in the bar and outside. Even then we had to wait almost an hour for our order. When we asked about our food, we were told that somehow it had been placed in the “to-go or curbside pickup” spot. So, we decided to relax our expectations a bit and just enjoy getting out.
The second time we visited, the deck area was full, and so was the bar and dining area. Servers were running to and fro, taking orders and delivering food. Finally after almost an hour, we asked about our food and were told that they were very busy and we’d get our food as soon as they could get it to us. The food came, and my fish was over-cooked and disappointing. Our server never checked back with us, and so we just finished our meal, paid the bill, and left.

View as fantastic sitting on the deck overlooking the water. Service was satisfactory, food was fantastic. Ordered Meat Lovers pizza and it was one of the best I have had in the area. We also ordered their homemade chicken tenders! They were also great.

We tried this place again, having loved the menu last year. It did not disappoint this year, in fact it was a great place to go offering great food, social distancing, and flexibility. We had been seated inside, but it was a little warm, so we asked if we could be seated outside. They accommodated us wonderfully, and we had a great evening!

We visited on a Friday night and to the restaurant's credit their website said Friday's are very busy and call in orders may not be taken. I did stop in to ask about ordering take out and was assured it was available with a 45 minute wait. So we ordered, but unfortunately the 45 minute wait turned into 90 mins. That was only after I complained and I was told my order would be "moved up". After the frustrating wait we received our food and were disappointed in the taste. It was sloppily put together and nothing special. I will compliment the staff. They were very hard working and apologetic for the problems we encountered.

We happened across this place. We were able to get a table outside on a nice day. We ordered cheese curds, which were great. The Philly and tacos were good. Our disappointment in this place lies in the fact that you pay electronically via a tablet with three pre-recommended tip values 20%, 25% and 90%. Yes, 90%. The 99% value is also in the first slot for selection, so if you are not paying attention, you could select it. We didn’t fall for it, but It left us with a bad impression. What about elderly or other people that may not see too well and fill these tablets out from previous experience.

Nice Family dinner. Food was really good. Smothered chicken sandwich, haddock sandwich, burger, cheese fries and tiki pulled pork sandwich. All great. The fries are super thin and very good. Very fair prices.
Server was really nice and experienced. Atmosphere was good; a nice Northwoods bar. Outside deck will be calling my name in the summer. Fun to see the snowmobile crowd. Bar was clean and it was a nice break from city madness!

We took a chance of stopping for late lunch right after a crazy 4th of July weekend. It's right on the water and boaters found easy access. We got a table quickly and the staff was friendly and efficient.

My wife arrived around 1:30pm. We made this our pit stop, as we had been riding the nearby bike trail from Minocqua to Tomahawk, and back. We pulled off the trail and noticed a beer sign outside of a bar. Thankfully we spotted that sign, and the Tilted Loon Saloon. It was fairly busy when we arrived. Our server was great! She was hustling her but off, covering quite a few tables. The other servers, and bartender, were also hustling. I ordered the Tilted Burger. Wow! This think looked amazing, and was so very tasty. I thought it was going to be a messy eat, but the bun was perfect to keep it all together. The French fries were so yummy too. And the beer was quite satisfying. We were treated very well. I would love to return.

I remember this place (different name) from years back. Beautiful setting. It was very busy. Everyone looked very stressed out/tired/not happy. Wait time for food was 45 minutes. Food was good though! If the owner was around we were not aware. Bar set up was not real handy for wait staff

What a great spot to enjoy a water view. Huge patio but it was too cool and windy to sit outside. We stopped for a late lunch. We had the grilled cheese and soup and the haddock. Food was excellent, prices good and our waitress was very good. We will make sure we visit in summer to enjoy the huge deck and water view.

We came here for a family meal. There was 20 of us. Service was excellent. Food was brought out timely. Fish fry was delicious. Good drinks. We had a wonderful time. We will definitely come back next time. We’re in Rhinelander.
