We just completed our third meal here in the last 5 days. As always, the service is supreme, the food is extraordinary and the restaurant is fabulously clean. Their bakery is marvelous with the mere mention of a morning bun sending your salivary glands into over drive! We absolutely loved the tuna melt which we chose to devour on two... More

We had supper here and breakfast the next morning. The restaurant exists in that strange land between truly fine dining and family fair, with prices more on the family side and food more towards the find dining side. Breakfast was an egg bake with basil that was quite different and chocolate mousse with Door County cherries-both really good but there's... More

After a long morning of shopping and museum carousing (rainy day) we were more than ready for a late lunch. We looked at all the window posted menu's in the eating establishments all around the shopping district and chose the Inn at Cedar Crossing because they listed a mussel platter appetizer and had a Reuben listed. I am a die... More

Yes, they are the same morning buns that the Ovens of Brittany in Madison Wisconsin used to make! These morning buns are a flakey sweet cinnamon roll and croissant hybrid. When "The Ovens" closed in 1996 I thought I had tasted my last...sigh..then I discovered them here at the Inn at Cedar Crossing! Hurray! If you get there early they... More

Sometimes a good place starts with a smile and it just grows onto good cooked dinner. Fresh ingredients, great atmosphere. We had the mussels and salad for starter. The mussels were very good. The dried tomato salad was on the sweet side and good as well. The chicken risotto got praise and had generous amount of chicken meat. The mushroom... More

We were up to see the Tall Ships, early, then decided to find breakfast, and on the strength of their interesting menu posted in the window, we chose this place. I got the smoked brisket hash, the homemade raisin walnut bread toast with homemade cherry preserves. The hash was good, but a little greasy. The eggs that I ordered over... More

This is a lovely little place. We like to sit in the bar to eat if the restaurant is too busy-more quiet. I usually have a salad with apples and blue cheese. The tuna melt is also a favorite. But everything is very tasty. Usually end up taking some of the bakery goods home, although sometimes they can be a... More

Busy Sunday morning but only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for 5. Large portions. Plate size pancake really is the size of a FULL plate! Host was very pleasant and did his best to get us seated quickly and waitress was attentive, but not the most friendly, but she could have been having a bad day.... More
