In these COVID times, the panko-encrusted Walleye holds up well from pickup to home. Further, the Norwegian meatballs on Saturday over a bed of mashed potatoes is delicious...with or without the lingonberries (get the lingonberries). Nostalgia hit me hard as I was reminded of my...grandmother’s Norwegian meatballs.More
Not much to say the beer was good, the service was meh, and our sandwiches were bland. My husband had a burger he rated average and we can get better burgers in town. My Rueben had very little meat in it and was also bland....The french fries were very tasty.More
Not very accommodating for large groups. A group of families wanted to come for lunch and we called ahead to reserve some tables. They wanted to charge us a $125 room charge and 25% gratuity. We could have just shown up and overwhelmed them but...we’re trying to be respectful and call ahead. I guess they didn’t need our business.More
Viking Brew Pub is so cute (is cute the proper word?) inside! The Viking ship shaped bar is such a unique, to me anyway, touch and really contributes to the theme of the place. The menu is pretty diverse, it was hard to choose a...meal. I got the spinach artichoke dip, which was delicious and was served with toasted baguette from the bakery next door. The baguette was top notch and paired fabulously with the dip. My date got the spicy burger, and it lived up to its name! It was not an overwhelming or flavor destroying spice - it was a lovely heat that complimented all of the flavors. I am typically an IPA drinker, but was not a fan of theirs so enjoyed the Porter - which had fantastic coffee notes. Overall it was a great experience and, should I find myself in Stoughton again, will definitely return!More
We were out celebrating my husbands birthday, group of 6...The server was not very attentive and did not acknowledge that it was my husbands birthday even though he was wearing the Viking crown that the bartender gave him. The menu was so so nothing spectacular...nor would I go back for.More
We frequent the place often. Mostly for Thursday night Trivia. Good food. Good drinks. Servers are great. A popular place so sometimes it is busy so you’ll need a little patience yet they are still prompt.
We were not impressed with our food , especially for the cost! The grilled shrimp should of been done more, very tough. The Norwegian turkey sandwich was not impressive either. The mustard aioli was mostly mayonnaise that did not taste at all mustardy. I even...asked about it, and got the response of, you don’t care for it, I’m sorry! I wished I was a little rude and said please take b-ball, but instead I tried to wipe it off as good as I could and ate part of it. No refills asked on water and only five tables plus us were in there at the time. Probably won’t return. SorryMore
We were heading to the area, but we needed to find a place for lunch. A random Google search turned up this place. It looked like fun, and it was! Great little brew pub with delicious brews. The menu was intriguing as well. My husband...had the salmon salad; it was packed with salmon! I went for the Norwegian Turkey Sandwich as I thought "when in Rome.....". It was absolutely delicious! The bread for their sandwiches comes from a local place, and it is totally the bomb. The portions are large; I should have taken 1/2 of my sandwich home. Our service was prompt and friendly. And who wouldn't want to sit at a ship, have a beer, and eat some lunch?More
Stopped in for lunch one Saturday. I had the Norwegian Cod (awesome!) and my wife had the Norwegian Meatball special. Loved it! Kids enjoyed their chicken strips and seasoned fries. The beer was very good too (Midnite Sun). Highly recommend. I dont give many 5's...but I think this place deserves it. Neat decor too.More

Viking is quite large and can handle many people. However, there is a separate area that has sofas, tables and chairs off to the side with an area in front of it that may hold 24. Seems more like a "living room." You should call Viking to ask the number of people it can hold to make sure it is available and reserve it. (608) 719-5041
