We chose this spot, having dined here before and liked it. Although it was late October, the warm day allowed us to enjoy the outdoor patio. And since we were with our two dogs, it enabled us to have them there with us. We have a 5 year old dog and a puppy. Our puppy is getting used to being... More

Great intimate atmosphere for a date. Limited menu and many items were out. Again, it was a very busy day with MN schools out for fall break. I had a chicken and black bean burritos and my husband had chicken pesto pasta. Both were good.

What a lovely patio hiding a seriously sad, dysfunctional restaurant. We kayaked here from Lake City and had limited time, so I asked what might be the quickest thing on the menu and was laughed at. Um, that was a question...huh? So I asked if we might have soup and a beer on the patio. There was one table of... More

Nice place to stop if traveling along the Mississippi River out of Minneapolis-St. Paul. About 90-120 minutes out. The sauerkraut bread is the bread to get, and the sourdough is solid as well. Cafe is equally good with excellent breakfast options. Farm fresh ingredients. Very cozy patio between the cafe and the bakery.

Agree with previous reviewer, the Swedish pancakes are both undercooked, and now, very overpriced--at nearly $14! I have eaten there previously, but this is likely the last visit.

We stopped at Bogus Creek for the first time last year, and we were eager to head back. Three of us visited on a Monday for lunch, and because it was a beautiful day, we chose to eat outside on the patio. Bees were a bit of a nuisance, but that's just part of Fall outside. We ordered the Swedish... More

Apple pie is my favorite pie so I can safely say the Carmel nut Apple pie at bogus creek is one of the best I have ever had.. Well worth the drive to get a piece of it. We also had the Swedish pancakes and the French toast which was very good too! Great place to stop on your autumn... More

My sister had been here a couple years ago and wanted me to eat here. The café is in the walkout basement of a beautiful white antique home. We would have eaten in the outside garden if it wasn't raining. The wooden tables inside have Interesting inlaid designs, there are stained glass pieces in the windows and posters from art... More

This was the worst food - $13 + for a bison hamburger. $13 + for a BLT. The sides were unbelievably bad. Dry Kaiser rolls not warmed. My sliced tomato (1) was transparent unappealing and looked as though it had been prepped the day before. Loose flat greens falling out. No crisp lettuce. No resemblance to a BLT. The slices... We have visited this cafe with its bakery several times on our trips up and down the river. It has atmosphere and nice little touches, and that, I expect, is what you are paying for. We had chicken wild rice soup, nicely homemade, and a burger with cole slaw (sunflower seeds, shredded carrots) and grilled peppers on the side. Service... More
