Cool place with classic looking farmhouse type interior. My wife loved her tuna sandwich and my rueben was very good. I thinks its only open for breakfast and lunch so enjoy early. The breakfast portions looked generous and good. The place was very busy on a Sunday lunch with about half the room eating lunch and half breakfast. Park at... More

The décor and atmosphere is very relaxing. It is refurbished brick and is furnished with unique old wood tables and mix and match "wooden chairs". It is a perfect place to catch up with friends, have a business breakfast or lunch or to take guests to. I have never had any complaints on the food or service. Very friendly staff... More

Cute, quaint restaurant with good food. Usually crowded ( which is a good sign ), but usually a wait for a table. Home-made bread....nom nom.

A great choice for breakfast or lunch (but an early lunch...they close at 2!) especially on a Saturday morning when you can then walk around the newly re-awakening of downtown Stevens Point and enjoy the always expanding farmers market.

My husband and I stopped by for lunch, and glad we did. He had the pancakes which were tasty and large. I had the vegetarian sandwich which I enjoyed very much. Love the mix matched tables and chairs added to the light hearted atmosphere. Our server was very prompt and friendly.

The Wooden Chair is at the heart of downtown Stevens Point. Homemade soups and unique sandwiches. Breakfast too! They are only open breakfast and lunch. Relaxed atmosphere of a coffee shop, yet bustling with folks conversing over meals.

Love the decor and mixed chairs. Omelets are fantastic- fluffy and full of fresh ingredients. Home made toast tops it off. Special was made with locally grown strawberries. Have always loved this place for breakfast. Has been a few years since our last visit due to moving out of town. Was actually better than I remembered. Service was excellent too.... More

This restaurant in downtown Stevens Point is a gem. It is open for breakfast and lunch. It is real home cooking at its best with fresh local ingredients. Portions are filling. The name is correct. All seating is on wooden chairs. The wooden floor and decor go well together. It has a hometown feel. Wait staff is friendly always coming... More

We stopped here on a whim when driving through to northern Wisconsin. It was a little out of our way but looked interesting. What a nice surprise! The atmosphere is really cute, wooden floor and tables and, of course, the wooden chairs! It's in an older building, exposed brick etc. and it's just charming to eat here and look out... More
