Amazing steaks in Point! Definitely on the pricey side with ala carte menu, but we loved the octopus, crab cake appetizers as well as large filets bone in ribeyes and the halibut mains. Sides were solid Mac and cheese mashed potatoes asparagus etc. their desserts should be shared as the chocolate cake slice is larger than Cheesecake Factory servings. Great service easy to get to in downtown Point and connected to the Cobblestone Inn. Bon Appetit!

Was very pleased with the food, rare to find someone who can saute calamari well and they nailed it. Portions are large, flavorful, and well presented. Staff was very friendly and responsive to questions. Definitely recommend.

We went to Wissota Chophouse on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday. The food, while being expensive, (especially the steaks) was excellent. The service provided by Annie was outstanding. She was friendly, helpful and accommodating. A piece of complimentary cake was provided for our birthday guest which was very much appreciated.

Held a birthday celebration there and experienced a broad range of quality in the dinner menu. A steak, calamari, salads and lobster bisque were properly prepared and excellent. An $18+ hamburger was dry, hard (yes "hard") and tough. The bun was dry and tasteless.
The server was presumptuous in insisting that an olive appetizer was the best item on the menu. When informed that olives were not of liking to several in our group, she persisted in telling us that we would be missing out on a rare taste experience.
She created some tension when our order was placed sans olives by informing us we would regret our decision.
The dining room was dark and noisy thus limiting conversation. When a raucous group at a table near us departed (not soon enough), we were able to converse.
Every item on the menu is a la carte so getting a salad, main dish, side dish and desert will quickly get one over $100/ guest. Our bill for 5 guests ran well over $500.
There are several other local restaurants that give a more satisfying experience at a lower cost. We will not repeat this one.

Sorry you didn't have a wonderful experience with us. We it does are a traditional style chophouse which offer every item ala carte. I do apologize for the dryness of your burger and for the persistent server. We don't like it when there is such a loud group as we are a small restaurant and it does disturb other guests. Thank you for writing a review and we will work on solving some of these issues for other future guests.

Amazing service and food. Alysha was a great server, attentive, helpful and friendly - from her first offering of "flat water" to the wonderful desserts. I've always wanted to eat at a Chop House, but was always a little leary of the high costs. But this was a special occassion with three birthdays, and we were not dissapointed in any way.
There was very little on the menu that I didn't want to try and everything we ordered was beatifully presented, excellently prepared and tasted phenominal. We started with the Pork Belly appetizer that was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful (reduced balsamic?) tang, the lobster bisque was the perfect temperature and to be savored as well as the mixed green salad that looked like a work of art. I had the sirlion tip steak with crusted blue cheese, my husband had the jumbo prawns (slightly tough), and the others had the Sea Bass and the Scallops. It was so delicious and beatiful to look at. We also shared the parmesan crusted brussel sprouts and the bacon macoroni and cheese - which were very generous portions.
Then just to make it better, we each received a free dessert for our birthdays and sampled the raspberry tiramusu, the towering chocolate an the towering carrot cakes. The cakes were so large, that each of the 4 of us got a layer which was almost equivalent to a piece in its own right.
I really can't say enough about his experience, but bring your credit card because it is pricey.

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here tonight. This was our very first visit and from the time we entered until we left, we were treated with warmth and welcome. The food was absolutely fantastic. We started with the crispy rabbit wontons, which were fried to perfection. We then shared the mixed grill plate along with grilled asparagus and béarnaise sauce. I think I fell in love with the steak. I am not usually a fan of lamb (my husband is, I don't like the gamey flavor it typically has) but this time it was prepared so well that I was happily surprised when I tried it. We also absolutely loved the peanut butter mousse we received for dessert. Wow, what a fantastic meal for a special day.

The coconut crusted halibut was on point & oysters were delicious as usual. Also the shrimp po boy was amazing. The staff, Bonnie & Malia, were fantastic. Great place to enjoy the patio with friends or enjoy a nice romantic dinner. Definitely will be going back!

Not one thing was good about our visit, waitress was very good. One other table at the time and drinks took forever. Food was not hot when served. Onion soup, tasted like hot water with bullion cube, chopped onion, burnt rye crouton w/cheese! I could not even finish the soup as it had no flavor! I ordered prawns in butter and garlic, it was like it was put on plate right from boiling water that may or may not have had butter or garlic, oh and was not warm when served!!!!!! So $250.00 later and this was the worst meal I have ever had in my life!

Stopped in to the Chophouse tonight for dinner, out for cocktails with another couple. We were seated quickly. Our server Allie O was amazing, she suggested a great wine, answered our many questions and was very patient while we decided on our selections. Bone marrow appetizer was so delicious, we had never had it before but will definitely try again. My filet was perfect, so tender and flavorful. Great experience for an impromptu dinner.

Everything was great. Appetizers( stuffed olives, you gotta try ‘em), Lobster Bisque( fantastic), Sea Bass(melt in your mouth). Great atmosphere, incredible service. I asked for something that wasn’t even on the menu( I was only half serious)well, the chef made that too. Who does that? Well, they did. That’s who.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious. The salad was fresh. Drinks were also very good. The staff here is attentive and polite. Although it is more expensive the food and service were well worth it. Highly recommend?

Visited on a busy Monday night when I was in town for a business meeting. I have eaten at a different location and experienced the same fantastic service and food in Stevens Point. Well done to all the staff!

We had the crab cakes, lobster bisque, wedge salad, sea bass, mushroom risotto, mashed potatoes, asparagus and chocolate cake!! Loved every course! Bobbie waited on us and was delightful!
