We went to this place last weekend mainly attracted by the goats roaming on its roof. Even though there was a lot of rush because of fall color season, we had to wait only 10 mins to be seated. I tried Door county bruschetta white fish, which was very nice. The decor was interesting but looked a bit dated. We... More

This is a great family operated restaurant. We wanted a place that served breakfast all day, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Our meals were so good that we decided to visit again and had lunch the next day and once again were not disappointed. We were sad that the weather did not cooperate and we did not get to... More

My husband and I went here for breakfast. We had never had Swedish pancakes before so we both tried them. They were good and I would go back again in the future. I enjoyed the gift shop as well.

This was our first time in Door County, so of course we had to try this famous place! We arrived at about 9:45 on a Saturday in late October. It was just two of us, and they estimated about an hour's wait. We didn't mind, and we enjoyed ourselves walking around the gift shop while we waited. About 40 minutes... More

Had a great lunch. Checked in around 11am. The wait was about 1hr 15 mins. Walked around town and shopped before we were sat. Waiter was attentive. Food (meatballs, fried chicken, ribeye, roast beef sandwich) didn't disappoint. Bloody Mary was good and spicy.

This is the best place for breakfast in Door County. The Swedish pancakes with the lingonberry topping is outstanding. Thick sliced Canadian bacon is the perfect compliment as are eggs over easy. Service is attentive and a bottomless cup of coffee. You will leave full, happy and wanting to return again and again. Make sure you stop in the gift... More

No trip to Door County is complete without stopping in at Al Johnson's. This has been a perennial favorite for our families for years... and it's still as wonderful as we always remembered it. Can't miss the lingonberry pancakes - just can't seem to make them the same way at home!

We were on the leaf-looker tour and stopped for dinner. So glad we did. We had the Swedish meatballs. So tasty. They were served with real mashed potatoes and young green beans sauteed with bell pepper. Excellent. The mushroom soup with great and my husband loved the pickled herring appetizer. Dessert was a huge piece of apple strudel with ice... More
