If you plan to visit the restaurant for a great breakfast, show up early to get your table and chairs! Hint: A much faster way is to be seated at the counter. No long waiting there, and fast service! The breakfast offerings aren't plentiful but the food is great. Definitely a place to visit!

We have been coming here for probably 20 years - it's always delightful! Even the grounds are beautiful and the food is always delicious no matter what we order. And of course: goats on the roof!

World famous restaurant with goat's on the grass lined roofs. Certainly a fun oddity to see. Their famous thin pancakes were very good with fruit toppings. The Swedish meatballs were disappointing. The meat seem processed and not like ground beef usually appears in a homemade meatball. All in all, a fun place to visit for all especially children.

Right when you think Al Johnson's couldn't get any better-they do!! We never miss a Swedish pancake breakfast here! It's consistently yummy!! But now they added an outside bar and patio to help pass the time during the wait, but don't forget to walk thru their gift shop it's full of beautiful speciality items. Oh definitely go after an afternoon... More

If you are going to Door County you have to go to Al Johnson's, even if it is just to take pictures of the goats on the roof. Please, go in. Be prepared to wait for a seat it gets busy. The wait staff don traditional clothing while you sit in IKEA type chairs, interesting. The food is excellent, my... More

We happened upon the bar at night. White lights. Fun music. Good wine. Stop by after watching the sun set and grab a drink and have fun.

This restaurant is very popular in this area and always very busy. Everybody knows it for its alive goats on the roof. Food is not bad, service is ok. Surprise was that they close at 8:00 pm

The best part of this place is they have a few goats grazing on the roof. The service was rushed and inadequate. The food was neither hot nor tasty. I suggest taking pictures of the exterior and move on to another restaurant.

If you are going just to see the goats on the roof, by all means go and see the goats. All things considered it was an average meal. We waited for an hour for a table. It was crowded and a bit smelly from so many sweaty tourists. The breakfast list is surprisingly small, and the most healthy option is... More
