Very impatient and tired owner. She is trying to sell the place and you can tell she wants out. Gave a vegetarian a plate with meat mixed in. She was completely insulted that we said we would like it removed from the bill.....really? We waited...for an hour for plates and the owner insisted she suddenly needed the table. Then continued to say we were rude and asked us to leave with our children at the table and to never come back? LOL as if.More

My sister, niece & nephew have never visited this cute little place across from Silver Lake. The menu was breakfast and lunch posted on the wall for the day. My nephew loved the maple nut waffles, my niece her cinnamon roll french toast, my sister...loved her corned beef hash & eggs. I chose a cheeseburger & onion rings. We all enjoyed our meals and the service. It was relaxing, no one tried to rush us out. I would be happy to return for breakfast.More

Walked in and the place was 3/4 full about lunch time. We sat down and ordered our meal and coffee. I finished my coffee off and not re-appearance for a refill. OK maybe busy. They came back and gave us our toast for little guy...as we had asked and had to ask for a refill. More waiting. More Waiting. About 45 min in there is an issue. We only had ordered breakfast foods and was noticing most of the place was now empty. Walked up...no waitress still, and found a guy grumbling about long wait at the counter and noticed quite a few others. Asked how long..and got no real satisfactory answer...sons' pancake was almost ready....no word on my or wifes order. Asked for to go container and settled up. Hope they get things back under control, it was a hot mess that day.More

Love this place. Cozy family run business and the breakfast is fantastic. Love the morning specials and the eggs Benedict are great.

Best breakfast around, great food for breakfast & lunch. It is a small Mom & Pop grill where you get generous portions at a reasonable price with always friendly service. Also their Broasted Chicken is to die for. Stop in and see Deb & Jim,...they take Pride in their food and business.More

Stopped for lunch. Many specials for breakfast but also had a varied lunch menu with salads, wraps, burgers, chili, soups, and various other sandwiches. Very clean, friendly staff, rather small but would like to return for breakfast or lunch. They say they are "Wisconsin's best...kept secret". Not sure I'd go that far, but it was very nice, and I will be back. Limited parking.More

Stopped in today (Sunday) for lunch. It wasn’t busy. What brought us in was broasted chicken. Since it’s cooked to order we had to wait. Enjoyed watching the boats on Silver Lake across the street. The broasted chicken and potatoes were definitely worth the wait....3 large pieces of chicken with thick crinkle cut sliced potatoes for only $7.95. Also included a slice of Texas toast and cole slaw. The chicken was crispy, crunchy, super moist and well seasoned. It’s definitely on our list of places to come back to! As we were leaving I noticed shelves of coffee cups. Realized they are decorated with the names of the diner’s regulars. How cute is that?More

Husband and I recently stopped here for lunch on a Sunday on our way to the state park . Should've known better when we walked in to just walk out. The place was empty and the owner/cook made a comment of him having to work....Thought we would be safe and quick ordering 2 cheeseburgers and fries low and behold these tiny little sliders came out they looked like meatballs with cheese on a bun all for the low price of $8.50 each!!! We didn't know what to say we kept cracking jokes on where to go for lunch next needless to say we won't be backMore
