Been to 23 countries and nearly every state in the United States and this place is the real deal! Great staff! Try the "Mud Pie", Chocolate Eclair (yes - custard filled), and white "Long John" - crazy good!! The chocolate topping is amazing! Retro atmosphere...is classic and comfortable. Simple place with a homegrown feel. If you're looking for a franchise "pretend" eatery - this isn't it. Visit Johnston's Bakery - You won't be disappointed!More

For health reasons, I limit myself to whole grain breads whenever possible. Imagine my delight to find a baguette that I can eat! A wonderful treat.

I'm sorry you felt things were just average. We prefer to be more of a local corner bakery/coffee shop rather than compete with national chains. We make all of our own bakery and serve local coffee. Can I ask what you ate/drank? Please give us...More

Ordered a dozen donuts/pastries, all types. Not as good as I was hoping for. Raised donuts were not that light. Bearclaw didn't have enough almond filling. Highlander Grogg coffee of the day was great as was the super kind and helpful staff.

We were searching for lunch, and we were disappointed that the bakery did not serve sandwiches. However, they do make great mango smoothies plus coffee and pastries. Attached to the bakery is a section of ten or so tables, just made for some excellent loitering....Friendly staff too.More

From the cute little mom and pop atmosphere to the stellar baked goods and coffee, this will be my go-to place every time I visit Sheboygan. We had a vanilla latte that was strong but not bitter like Star$&&)/. We tried the pastry fries, berry...danishes, muffins, mud pies, and cream filled coffee cake. Everything was great. My biggest regret is that I couldn’t try the eclairs and cookies as they looked so good. They also have frozen cookie dough that seemed like an awesome idea for fresh cookies at any time. I heard their cakes are the best. Go to this place and try everything. You won’t be disappointed.More

We come here every year in Sheboygan. The donuts are great, there are so many different kinds. They also have great hard rolls. I highly recommend Johnston’s Bakery!

I have been a customer here for years, sometimes for just a coffee and cruller, but sometimes to pick up an order for dinner rolls or donuts for parties also. The quality has not changed even after all these years, the prices for this quality...have remained affordable, and the service has always remained very friendly. I am very impressed with how all of these things have been maintained for so long.More

Had to stop at the place with our name on it. Got some danish and coffee for breakfast and left with some great bread for home. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The best bakery in town! They have a big selection of bread, doughnuts, cakes, and cookies. Along with a variety of hot and cold beverage choices. The vintage interior is fresh and cozy. Prices are amazingly low which make it easy to buy for the...whole family. Besides the delicious food and drinks, the interior is decorated historically and is very nice to relax in; a big bonus!More

We buy 6-10 loaves at a time. The bread is not as sweet as some whole grain breads. Cookies are to die for.
