Food has always been Ok / average. Nothing exceptional in fare. The service has always been iffy at best. Hiring local school girls to serve / take orders has almost always been problematic. Not sure what's going on with that. But don't care. Not recommended.
Went there to eat and paid with a credit card. The bill was $48.31. Left a $10 cash tip. When he credit card statement came, I was charged $58.31. Called the sawmill to tell them about it, and talked to a manager who was also...More
Rustic, raw wood interior befitting a 'sawmill.' Tasty breakfast food. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff both to greet and serve. We had Nueske's bacon. (Never had it?, try it and you'll be hooked forever! Caution tho, as other bacon is so comparatively limited you'll ever...More

We are finding that the SAWMILL is one of our favorite local restaurants.
The fish fry and poormans lobster is fantastic. The staff is pleasant and checks with you throughout your meal. Desserts are homemade and so wonderful!

We were in town for the Marquette Golf Invitational at Erin Hills and happened upon this restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The meatloaf and crab cakes were a hit. We also saved room for some of the delicious...More
We don’t normally go out for breakfast but we were coming home from an overnight stay and this place did not disappoint. I had a scrambler and the portion was hearty enough for a lumberjack, and was delicious! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere...More
Have had breakfast here a number of times, most recently on a Tuesday morning with our whole family (table of eight, including two children). The restaurant was not crowded so we had no trouble securing a large table. Our waitress was great and very efficient....More
