The decor is a little dark for my liking, but has a rustic Northwoods charm. The food was good, with big portions for the price. The service was functional, not interactive at all, but by no means unpleasant.

Four of us had dined here in May of this year. We especially enjoyed the walleye, so we returned this past weekend. The service from the bartender and server were slow. When we got our table, we were told the specials, but were not told that there was no walleye. Instead we ordered steaks and duck, which were good. Au... More

Always terrific in every way! Uncle Glenn Johnson raves on this place too. Pork chops are my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any selection.

Went here for lunch with my friend and her dad when we were visiting the area, we walked in and I saw a special written on a chalk board, it was for a Smoked Brisket Burger, it is not on the menu, but is should be, one of the best tasting burgers I have ever had.

The walleye pike is the best. The Rueben was the largest I have ever seen. Try the Bloody Mary's too.

Not good. Had breakfast after church. Waited almost one hour for our food and we emptied our coffee and no one ever came around. Unacceptable.

I used to go here as a wee tot. NOTHING has changed. The place was enjoying a brisk business, based on tradition it seems. The food was uninspiring. There are surely better choices. It wasn't even a good walk down memory lane.
