My parents bought a home here in the early 1970s where they spent half the year, so I have much experience going to the Rhinelander Cafe and Pub. It was always a wonderful experience with exceptional food and service. The past couple of years have been a bit of a disappointment with the last visit the end of July especially... More

Ever since new ownership I have given this place a chance. Each time its the same-subpar. Its like they prepare food and let it sit, food that should be hot-isn't. Food over salted, etc. Won't go back until new ownership.

Our first experience eating in Rhinelander after closing on a house purchased in March. Waitress was attentive and friendly. We were there on a Friday night and it was busy because of fish fry and lent and we were seated at the front nearest the hostess area. High traffic area. Looked like other tables/booths were available but we were seated... More

Delicious fish fry, great menu, skilled bartenders. Live music done nights & the best cheese curds around! Nice supper club ambiance.

Good food, great service. The bar is excellent. The seasonal meals they offer are the best. I recommend their fish fry and all steaks.

We had a wonderful breakfast today. Everything we tried was good, Mexican plate, poached eggs, pancakes, hash and French toast. Definitely will return.

The decor is a little dark for my liking, but has a rustic Northwoods charm. The food was good, with big portions for the price. The service was functional, not interactive at all, but by no means unpleasant.

Four of us had dined here in May of this year. We especially enjoyed the walleye, so we returned this past weekend. The service from the bartender and server were slow. When we got our table, we were told the specials, but were not told that there was no walleye. Instead we ordered steaks and duck, which were good. Au... More
