After visiting the Racine Art Museum (very nice) we wanted lunch. What a nice experience. For starters our server was a delight. Very friendly. The menu isn't extensive. It's mainly a burger french frie place although they do have a chicken sandwich and a few...other things. We were there for the burgers and they were great. Served piping hot. The french fries were pipping hot. We each had a chocolate malt and it was really good. There is a lot of counter seating. I remember 5 tables for sure. Servers were wearing masks. Cash only but they do have an ATM. Prices extremely reasonable. Lots of Kewpie dolls on display. Just a fun experience. We will definitely dine there again. They also have their own parking lot. Truly an incredible value.More
Not like it used to beIt seems like lately the service has gone down. We used to get fast service and I when we go in there with the tables and tables just full of dirty dishes in lines and lines of people waiting to...sit downMore
This place has been a downtown Racine fixture forever. Their burgers are some of the best I have tasted. It is hard to bet their double cheeseburger. The fries are pretty good, too. The place is small, so it gets pretty busy, and sometimes you...have to wait for a seat at the counter or tables. The place also has a breakfast menu and a variety of other sandwiches. But I would stick with the burger selections.More
Very inexpensive place to get a very good burger and some home town atmosphere. Kewpees is an institution and all should visit when in Racine!! The burgers are good and so are the fries. You must also get their homemade rootbeer!! Then take in the...people that are there. All walks of life!! Interact with the workers too!! Sit at the stools around the counter or grab a table if you are lucky. It is always busy. What a wonderful place to visit!! Have fun and happy eating!!More
I would never have stopped here had it not been for Trip Advisor! These reviews are important. Here is what you get - not overly friendly, heck not even a smile but very busy and pleasant staff overall. A ‘no frills’ menu, basic and to...the point. Hamburgers like you would make at home, good and cheap, above all, fast service! Weird place with all of the dolls in the wall and doll tiles, however, the dolls don’t make the place, it is the ‘back in time, cash only, basic burger fries and shake place. It was excellent for its overall small town feel and nostalgia.More
Something about the atmosphere that you just don't find anywhere else. Service is friendly, and the burgers and fries have not changed since my first visit here sixty years ago! Still the best place to get a great malt! Woooooo!.
I bring the grand-babies here for a fun lunch-Cheeseburgers and Root beer Floats! We love that we don't have to be super quiet and we use the short time that we wait to pick which Kewpee Doll we feel like today from the huge display...case! This is an old time classic fun place with the 50's charm.More
We have local keepers in my hometown and we all absolutely love them. However it was very sad to see that they were closed when we got there even tho website said open. And a passer by seen that I was upset I drove all...that way for them to close early and said yea they are always closed and close when they want. I'm used to the ones in my hometown are always packed and we take local pride we have keepers here it just seems like they don't care and that's sadMore
