Food is usually good, and plenty of seating, although the acoustics are bad, hard to hear. Seems to have come down over the years, and could use some upgrading. Service was a bit slow, but the food was good. Wide variety menu choices. Staff was friendly. Prices were average for a family restaurant.

We visit often and enjoy their breakfast served all day. They have a full menu and a soup and salad bar. You can sit at the counter or pick a table to suit your needs. Friendly service and fair prices.

A great "locals" hangout....but don't be intimidated by that--be glad. They are amazing--friendly and helpful. We were here for breakfast and the waitress was fast with the coffee (which was mild and delicious!) Will definitely be back!

The service is very bad. The food is not what you order plus it is burnt or ice cold. They still charge you for the meal if you are dissatisfied with the meal. You can not serve catfish and call it cod. From a person that grow up on fish I can tell what I'm eating.

Stayed overnight in Prairie du Chien last week. We decided to get pizza for supper. Coaches was a short drive from our motel so we decided to try it. The service was great but the pizza was not. I guess it tasted OK but it seemed like the whole thing was undercooked. The crust was paper thin, underbaked, kinda a... More

My wife and I were in Prairie du Chien last Saturday and stopped for lunch at Coaches Family Restaurant. My first thought as we pulled into the parking lot was how few cars were there. Well, we found out why. We went in and my wife ordered a fish sandwich and a cup of soup cheesy broccoli, I ordered a... More

Yeah, I have nothing good to say about our visit there. The food was bland and that's being nice. The place just smelled bad, the service was good. ...I felt sorry for the nice girl serving us, it's the kind of place where you leave your change as a tip. ...just not good at all.

Comfort food, good service, and decent prices are What takes us back to Coaches. They have pizza to meatloaf, and daily specials.

My niece said it was the best Mac and cheese she has ever eaten in a restaurant and she is 8 so she should know. The meal was fairly decent all around and the staff was fantastic. I would say the only downfall was probably the salad bar and I felt the prime rib was maybe a little over priced-... More
