This is a favorite of our family. The salad bar is the best around. We have always had great meals here. The steak and prime rib are top notch. The decor hasn't changed in years but it's always clean. Try to go early as it fills up quickly. We have been to work Christmas parties also that were great. Service... More

It was our first time there even though we are in Prairie du Chien often as we have a cabin on the river close by. We were invited by some friends and we were delighted to see they had prime rib that my husband loves and also fried chicken livers and onions which I love and cannot find everywhere. All... More

This is a classic! The decor and lighting are vintage 60-70's. The food is superb! You can get a whiskey manhattan with cherry or any other classic drink at the bar. The salad plates are chilled, there is always a great selection on the salad bar and a delicious soup. We like to go here everytime we are in town.

The servers are attentive. The salad bar is large and very good. One of my party had the fried catfish, she said it was the best she had eaten. The Ladies filet was cooked to perfection, very tender and juicy. The atmosphere is old-time and comfy. Drinks are well-made. My out-of-town friends always want to eat here.

The food and service are always great. This is my favorite place in town for celebrating. In this case it was my sister's birthday.

My wife and I enjoy eating at supper clubs around Wisconsin. Although the outside of the Black Angus might seem daunting to some the inside is pleasant, but dark, which is the traditional supper club. I started with an excellent brandy old-fashion, my test for all supper clubs, and it was one of the best that I have had. The... More

Reminds me of the older supper clubs of days past. Dark atmosphere, quiet little corner tables or large tables that seat 6 or more for a party. The food is excellent. We both had filets. Cooked perfectly. I noticed they upgraded their restrooms. Very clean and nice. The food is a little pricey if you're on a budget. If not,... More

We had not been to Prairie du Chien before and were looking for a good steak dinner. This can be hard to do on a Sunday evening. The lovely gal at the AmericInn, our hotel, at first suggested another restaurant. She came to us later, apologizing and said that restaurant was not open on Sunday and said we would have... More

Jones' Black Angus is an old fashioned WI supper club. The food and service is always excellent. I started going to the Black Angus with my parents as a child when it was Jeffers' . Though dress is casual the restaurant is a little pricey, Nice place just to relax after a busy day.
