We stayed the night in Portage for our trip to the Dells and tried this place for breakfast. Initially I was unsure because of our stay at the attached hotel, but this place was fantastic. Our server was super friendly and kept checking up on us to make sure the food was to our liking. The menu has several options... More

We have never had a bad meal or bad service here. Love the fish fry and my hubby loves the lasagna. The bar serves a good drink and everyone is more than helpful and friendly!

A storm was coming in on our drive up north so we decided to stop in Portage for an early dinner. We were greeted with a friendly smile and seated immediately. Our waitress was efficient, friendly and attentive. I ordered the shrimp stir fry, which was really good. Also had a bowl of soup. Saw on the menu that they... More

This is the most under-rated restaurant in town. I think it gets negative marks for being attached to a motel, but in reality it is a great standalone restaurant. The food is plentiful, and the prices are modest. It is a great place for an American-style breakfast which is too big for a normal person to eat. We go there... More

The food was ok, except we were served a rotten baked potato (yes rotten literally). Was offered a new one (why take the chance), no compensation, which is fine i guess. Go to pay and the "hostess" had just gotten off the phone with a person calling in to place an order, she started bad mouthing the customer (in front... More

Stopped for a quick lunch while on a road trip. From the outside, we weren't sure what to expect as its attached to what seems to be a fairly run-down hotel. We were pleasantly surprised, the staff was friendly and both our burgers were delicious.

This place is just so so. Not many food options in this town. The cheese and broccoli soup had a gelatin consistency. The Greek salad came with anchovies ???, iceberg lettuce and black and green olives but not kalamatas. Three squares of feta not crumbled. The tuna melt was very good. If there is a next time, probably would opt... More

Dino's shares a building with the Ridge Motor Inn. Parking is challenging, and there are relatively few spaces near the entrance to the restaurant/lounge. There appear to be, in addition to the lounge-bar area, two dining rooms on the main floor and more rooms for private banquets downstairs. When we came in in Feb., they were hosting two large groups... More

We ate both breakfast and dinner at Dino's. The Kids loved both. Breakfast was definitely a treat for the kids - fruit and whipped cream pancakes, sausage and juice. I had dinner in the Tavern. A good sandwich served fairly late in the evening. However when in the North Woods do as the Badgers --- Have a Brandy Old Fashion... More
