I went there tonight with my granddaughter in hopes of a nice meal out. I used to go there fairly frequently years ago for the prime rib. I used to enjoy it, but after this evening, I won't step foot in there again. We ordered...2 fried cod dinners. My fish wasn't cooked properly, it was fleshy and not flaky and white. I asked my granddaughter if she like her dinner and she said yes. I had her show me her fish and it did look more white and cooked a little better than mine. I was offered to order something else off the menu so I did. I ordered the rib-eye special medium rare. The meat was either on the edge of going bad or they cooked it in the microwave (it wasn't browned at all on the outside like you get from a grill, oven, or stove). It was terrible. It wasn't cooked the way I ordered it, but I can overlook that with a quality piece of meat, but the meat was poor quality or going bad. I was told I would have to pay for it, but I could take it home (really?). I didn't take it home even though I have dogs. It's ridiculous to pay for bad food. So I spent 25 dollars for one cod dinner. I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant that I was so disappointed in the food. The ONLY good note: The waitress was great and very friendly.More

I have eaten here in the past, and have always enjoyed my food. Friends have questioned me how I can eat at a place where the kitchen is so disgusting. They were open for dine in last night after all the coronavirus shut downs. My...best friend and I decided to have fish. The corn fritters, which are usually good, were barely warm, tough, and overcooked. Just got a tiny plastic container of hard honey butter. Tasted very old. Battered cod was very small pieces and dry. Baked potato was dry tasting and small. Worst meal there ever. Will not be going back until I see better reviews.More

This place is wonderful. Don’t let the outside fool you...the inside is a cozy northwoods restaurant. The bar area is huge...with excellent drinks reasonably priced and great service. The food is fantastic...we were there for Friday night fish fry. Staff is attentive and friendly...portions generous

Enjoyed an evening meal with tasty corn fritters in the bread basket. Honey butter for the fritters was a treat. Family owned quaint location with historical touches to the decor. A guitar strumming duo made the evening fun with music

If you like old style country club food and venue, this is the place to go. Food is okay. Friday fish can be pretty good. Best thing I ever ate there is the corn fritters. Coconut shrimp is pretty good too.

The aged paper placemat menus with handwritten prices is quaint. But, it did not take us long to decide that we only wanted appetizers and a drink before leaving to get dinner elsewhere.

The wait staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The Friday fish fry is what we usually go here for. The fish is good, don't like the cole slaw at all and the corn fritters are not that great.

We have lived in the area for 30 + years, We new about and where the restaurant was but never tried it. Finally we went to dinner and it was a great experience, Food was excellent, the waitress was a stitch. Prices were very reasonable.The...only thing I had ordered a Margarita and was not fond of it the bartender needs a bit more practice.More

I have been here a couple of times in the last month and have really enjoyed the food. We went on a Friday night for the Fish Fry and it did not disappoint. We also went on a Saturday night for the Prime Rib and...that was awesome as well! The service was fast and friendly. I was very pleased and could not ask for more!More
