Had a fairly large group and from the start to finish, Artisan 179 did a great job. The service was very good and the food was done to perfection. Timing of the food coming out was good. Kudos for a job well done.

Just cruisin around, we spotted 179 and, yes,we were very hungry, but, if the place did not look appealing, we would have driven by. As it was, 179 had a beautiful outdoor eating area at which noise from the traffic was hardly noticeable, the view...of the lake spectacular! Our service was very pleasant The menu interesting, eclectic but order any way you like, they were very accommodating. P.S. the asparagus soup wAs to die for! The Smashburger was yummy, but I must say i was not a fan of the pretzel bun.(this is a matter of taste). A coconutty type drink was recommended to me and i found it delicious!. We loved the venue, the staff, the food, the drinks! We will returnMore

I ordered the Roasted Poussin. This bird was smaller than a Cornish hen and the white meat was a little dry. The mashed potatoes were very good but I did not care for the root vegetables. I was so hungry when I got back home,...I had a bowl of cereal. This entrée certainly wasn’t worth ordering or the price of $36.00.More

We were excited to have a meal at Artisan 179 this past Thursday 10/28. Our friends were visiting from the Chicago area where they have so many excellent restaurants that they’ve taken us to and we wanted to reciprocate with a great meal from Artisan....It’s a lovely location with beautiful view of Pewaukee Lake but our hopes soon fell short of expectations almost immediately upon being seated. Our service was so slow that waitress brought us two orders of bread after our dumpling appetizer which was so-so at best. Tasty but not freshly made. We ordered two strip steaks to split for each couple. My husband and I ordered ours cooked medium. Our dinners took forever to arrive. Our friend’s dinner was lukewarm when it arrived and my steak was rare to the point of almost being raw. I sent mine back for more cooking and it came out medium rare. Also, it was a terrible cut - tough and full of grizzle. They charged Eddie Martini prices for a Ponderosa Steakhouse steak. In fact Ponderosa or Denny’s would have had a better steak than this one! Ted came to table when he heard about our problems with the steak. He sent three unwanted desserts to make up for terrible steak, terrible service, our friend’s lukewarm meal and a Brussel sprout salad with NO dressing! Ted you should have removed the cost of the steak from the bill. $50 for a steak we couldn’t eat! Wow, Artisan 179!!! We were very embarrassed to bring our friends there. Never never again!! Looks is all it has! Also, turn up the heat or seal the door to the patio for the winter. It’s cold in there! If you go and I would recommend not to, wear a warm sweater.More

If you are planning an event close to Milwaukee, you have to check Artisan 179. Their Rhino room is fabulous with a great view to the lake. Everything we tasted (it was 18 of us, so we got a chance taste different steaks and dishes)...was beyond delicious. Most importantly Katrina (their Manager) takes care of every detail making your experience phenomenal. Thanks Artisan 179 for hosting your Mexican friends!!!More

Located in the heart of Pewaukee's small downtown, the bustling place has a wide-varied menu from sandwhicehs starting at $16 to entrees around $30. My companion and both ordered the artisan chicken sandwich on a pretzel roll with a large helping of pesto sauce and...Havarti cheese and Parmesan truffle oil fries served on a wood platter. We ate outside where there were plenty of tables and there was live music to listen to as we watched. the sunset over the lake. Extensive creative cocktail menu. Highly recommend.More

I loved this place; I came this week while in town visiting with friends. They recommended Artisan 179 and it was no joke. The filet mignon was really good, the brussel sprouts appetizer were good and the pudding dessert was fabulous. And, we sat outside...in the evening and watched locals walking in the area and boats on the water across the street. Great atmosphere! I hope to come here again.More

Absolutely beautiful view of Pewaukee Lake. We went here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. No way to sugarcoat at this place is expensive, but if you have a big event to celebrate they have delicious food and a wonderful view.

I can’t say enough about the dining experience at Artisan 179 which is never less than excellent. COVID safety measures are seamlessly part of a relaxing atmosphere so you can dine with peace of mind. The service makes you feel like you’re an honored family...guest. Unique delicious cuisine and beverages make Artisan 179 my favorite place to share an evening out. If your in the spirit to enjoy a nice bourbon, ask about the one made especially for Artisan 179 or their flights of Pappy Van Winkle. Last evening, my wife, son and I stopped at Artisan 179 for a drink and a light meal. We live in Pewaukee and like to support local businesses. We elected to sit at the bar, which was almost completely vacant. We ordered our drinks, enjoying...great service from our bartender. After reviewing the menu we each ordered food: chowder, beet salad and Hamachi Crudo (Japanese yellow fin tuna) The chowder was good, the beet salad was consistent with prior visits, but the tuna was a MAJOR disappointment. It was as thin as shaved ham. 7 small slices. Good flavor, served fresh but I could almost see through the pieces of tuna. The $18 entree could have only weighed a few grams. As much as we like to support local businesses, we will not return to this restaurant.More

We enjoyed lunch at Artisan 179 on a beautiful sunny afternoon. It was a bit chilly and breezy outside, so when we were asked if we would like to be seated by the fireplace, we gladly accepted. We enjoyed a nice glass of Malbec with...our delicious shares of salmon tartare, octopus and risotto with scallops special. They were all presented beautifully, and the flavors outstanding. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We look forward to returning again and again.More

Incredible dining experience! First class service, warm ambiance, extraordinary menu selection and exquisite tasting food! Wow. This unassuming establishment, along the Pewaukee lake front reminds my wife and I of the many restaurants you find out east. Great neighborhood feel with good eats and great...service. You can tell they have regulars and we understand why!More

Saturday was particularly busy for me, I did not get out of work till almost 6:30 pm while driving home I heard a commercial about it being Sweetest Day I quickly call Artisan 179 thinking to myself No Way are we going to get in...this late on a this Saturday, I explained my situation, Ted Anderson told me to just come on down and he would take care of everything, I drove home picked up my wife and told her I Had a surprise, we were there by 7:30. The place was packed, no room at the bar, people waiting outside, just Crazy Busy, We walked in and were seated within a couple of minutes, The service here is outstanding, the menu is exciting with variety of options that will please everyone, while at a reasonable price. Ted brings his own personal touch to everyone there, you can see it in both the way he communicates with his Staff, and the same with the customers, he doesn't just ask How's Dinner? He actually visit with them making them feel valued. We will be back and I strongly recommend Artisan if you are looking for an exceptional dinning experience, Not just in Lake County but the entire Greater Milwaukee areaMore

I would suggest calling the restaurant. Fridays are traditionally fish fry patron heavy and most fine casual places have a walk-in policy on Fridays. Hope the helps.
