There are so many positives to share about this establishment. Looking to find a safe restaurant to celebrate a 41st anniversary, phone calls were made to hear of the protocol in place for Covid issues. I believe we chose the best in Waukesha County. Four...different drinks, salads and entrees - all were excellent. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We left with a beautiful memory and the desire to return.More

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally last night was the night. I'm glad we made reservations almost right when they oppened because by the time we left the place was packed. I ordered the...white fish and my husband ordered the filet. We had the choice of soup or salad and we both got the salad. It wasn't and ordinary salad with a little lettuce and a slice of tomato and cucumber, it was a nice big salad with organic greens, fresh mushrooms, walnuts and craisons with warm fresh baked rolls. Our food was cooked to perfection and it came with delicious mashed potatoes and vegetables. The service was excellent. Our water glasses and coffee cups were never empty. They have a big bar,but we're not drinkers. The quality of food and the great service is why that place is always packed. Thank you for a great Saturday night meal. We will definitely be back.More

I don’t think I have ever used the word cuisine in my reviews before, but this meal warrants the inference of delicious, refined, carefully planned flavors and pairings. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner of shrimp cocktail, house salad, roasted duck, rice pilaf, and green beans....Not to be forgotten...a scrumptious chocolate espresso cake with vanilla bean ice cream. The service from opening the front door to closure was fantastic and relaxing. We appreciated not being rushed as well. This type of dining is truly a treat for us and we felt upon finishing it was worth every penny. We will be back for another special occasion!More

Two couples, three satisfied people. Great steak and one special order. UNFORTUNATELY I was not one of them. My duck arrived a shriveled piece, only edible by cutting in small pieces. It's only because of the ambiance, service, and quality of the cocktails that I'm...giving this visit an average rating. p.s. I was there as a guest and did not want to spoil everyone's evening by insisting to return it.More

Couldn't have been more perfect. The noise level was low making conversation easy. None of the loud music and hard decor. The food and the service were excellent. Dinner was served at a leisurely pace, no rushing. Dinners are served with small, warm rolls, and...soup or salad. We were celebrating an anniversary so dessert was complimentary. Cocktails and wine were very good also. We hadn't been there in many years, now we can't wait to return.More

I came on a Saturday night and it was hard to find parking. We did park pretty close across the street. I was told they had a wedding and two birthday parties. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. I have only been to...this restaurant a few times. I always liked the restaurant but not sure after this visit why I was not a more frequent customer. Needless to say I liked it very much. The restaurant was busy and the bar area was packed. They serve bistro fare in this area. I think I will try that soon. My waitress was pleasant and provided good service. The entrees took a little longer due to the parties but it was not bad. The interior is old school but updated. Dinner comes with bread and either soup or salad. My house salad was good and not the normal salad with two cherry tomatoes and a slice of cucumber. It was mixed greens with craisons, walnuts and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. My wife upgraded to the cream of cauliflower soup. She is not a person that says much about her food but she raved all night how good that soup was. I had the whitefish which was very well prepared-butter and capers .It came with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was very good. My wife got the airline chicken which she liked. I really enjoyed the ambiance, service and the food. The owners pay attention to details. I will start coming more regularly. Yes I highly recommend. I give 4 and a half starsMore

We were here for a party. Lovely areas in the upstairs. Terrific appetizers. Of the three dinner options, two were very good and one was so-so. The steak and the salmon meals were very satisfying. The vegetarian was kind of blah--somewhat overcooked broccoli, cauliflower, and...carrots in phyllo dough plus a small portion of spaghetti. None of it was particularly tasty. Servers were very able.More

Generally good but not the same wonderful Lamb I had about a month ago. Same good cut of meat but this time it was dry and not as tasty. Different chefs? Don't know but beware of inconsistency. Still a good overall experience and we will...return (after awhile).More

Don't know that I'd drive more than 25 minutes for it but if you are within range (or just want to experience a Wisconsin classic) this is a very good choice. The restaurant feels much smaller on the inside than it looks from the outside....The Bistro (really just the bar) is to your left and a cozy (small) main dining room to your right as you enter. There is an overflow room behind the bar that was not being used on the Friday night we visited. Upstairs is event space. The main dining room is nice enough although you might feel a tad cramped. The service this night was excellent thanks to Omar and his support team. The food was outstanding. Excellent oysters Rockefeller, some of the best whitefish and best of all an outstanding Grand Marnier souffle for dessert. Reasonably priced wine list. I'd give it 4.5 stars (circles) if TA would allow it.More
