It’s been a few years since we have had an opportunity to dine at Pinewood and everything was delicious and everyone was so friendly and kind. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We’ve been to the Pinewood one other time. This visit shows the consistency of the food quality and service levels. The food and service were great in this visit. I had the Cracker Crusted Walleye and my wife had the 14oz NY Strip. We shared...where we could both enjoy both meals. The walleye was incredible. Maybe the best I’ve had. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a great taste as well. I recommend you trying this epic Wisconsin Supper Club. I’m certain you will love it!More
For these prices, go some where else. All their portion sizes have shrunk. The veggie tray they brought for our table of 6 was a joke, that would suffice for 4 tops. Our $5.99 crocks of French Onion soup were half full. Ice cream drinks...now served in small skinny glasses. And they no longer have cloth table cloths but are using white paper that won’t lay flat and scratches your arms. Feels like a burger joint, they should just put some crayons on the table. Old napkins that are faded and stained. Our server was also not good. She never gave us the specials, or asked if we wanted dessert. Another server always brought our drinks but never cleared the old glasses and bottles from the table. This used to be a treat to go here and have a nice meal, not anymore.More
Service, friendliness, quality, and food preparation all top shelf. They pay attention to detail and know how to treat their customers. Four of us had food ranging from ribs to Alaskan halibut to chicken to steak. All were delicious. All so worth the slightly above...price of near by restaurants, but here you do get what you pay for and more. Drinks were very good and timely. Good old fashioneds and nice wine selections. No beer on tap but decent selections in the bottle including some great locals. Bartender was friendly. Seated by one of many large windows with great views of the Wisconsin River and ancient giant white pines. Perfect setting for an up north, in the backwoods, Wisconsin supper club experience. A bit out of town, but worth the extra 5 of so miles. Reservations on weekends are suggested. Can’t say enough about the halibut Oscar. I’ve had it fresh in Alaska and it’s certainly comparable. Pinewood being close to the airport takes advantage of fresh fish(?). It was a substantial portion and was outstanding on a bed of tender fresh asparagus. We have gone before and will return again.More
We have visited Pinewood several times over the last 15 years. Unfortunately, our last two visits were just average. Wait staff has always been attentive, as well as the bar staff; however, our steaks were just okay, the potatoes were not hot, and food seemed...ordinary (for the cost) - which is not at all what we historically have experienced. We would say go, because we think everyone should go once, but go with an open mind. Will say, one of the best views sitting on the point, looking out over the water.More
Party of 14 (6 kids under 10) dined at this fabulous place! Everything was incredible. Drinks, food, ambiance. I had the blackened salmon Oscar and it was probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had dining out. Others in our party had fish, steaks,...etc. They are noted for their fresh fish entrees. Our service was perfect. Timing (speed of food) was perfect. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Add this one to your roadmap!More
Thank you! Hope to see you again. Chef Steve Allen
Pros - The French Onion soup is wonderful. *Service was fast enough, but more info. needed on some items. *Salmon was great. *Nice to get a relish tray, fresh salads with homemade dressing, and bun basket. To work on: *Asked if I could sub veggies...for a potato with my entree. Veggies looked like brussel sprouts scraps; not very appetizing. Server could have told me what the veggie was and included the upcharge fee of 2.99. *Side dishes with salmon weren't great - corn relish and the rice was okay. This person also did not like the brussels sprout dish. *Ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was overcooked and not tasty. Brought home most of it and my husband (who eats everything) did not eat the leftover steak. (The shrimp was fine). *Asked about dessert - the server didn't know. She said, "It's some kind of cheesecake." She offered to check. Came back later and we asked about what kind of cheesecake but she hadn't checked. Didn't tell us about the triple chocolate cake that was also available. Have loved the Pinewood in the past, but wouldn't order a steak again. I understand the servers are busy and some are new, but knowing basic offerings is something that can be figured out before hitting the floor. *Bill was 127.00 for three - we still left a good tip.More
Our visit was extraordinary as usual. Food was wonderful, friendly & welcoming staff, atmosphere lovely. We are never disappointed at Pinewood Supper Club.
Very traditional Wisconsin supper club location and atmosphere. The lighting needs updating – very dark, very hard to see what you're eating. The staff was super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The battered fries were hot, and mixed batter-fried vegetable appetizer was really good (the side...of ranch was spendy at $1.25 but thick and tasty). The other sides were commercial afterthoughts. The slaw arrived pre-packed in a plastic cup (hello Sysco!). The potato salad was ordinary and also tasted like it was scooped out of a 5-gallon tub. We came for the fish fry, and ordered one traditional battered fish and one Italian-crumb fish. The fish was not what we hoped for. The batter-fried fish tasted fine but arrived at a rather cool room temperature. Staff did offer to replace it, but I didn't feel like waiting. The Italian-crumb fish was a weird, geometric shape that was overcooked and ... reheated? IDK, but it certainly was not fresh. This was our first visit and we'll try the Pinewood again, maybe on prime rib night.More
Staff was awesome. Food was absolutely awful. I went with a friend. We pay and order separately. This is my experience I had. Crab Cake app. Crispy and tasteless inside. Ordered my favorite 16oz Ribeye Rare. French Onion Soup. The soup was the only thing...good. The Ribeye came out Medium Well. Not Rare. Sent it back. The next Ribeye came out Rare, no seasoning, not on a sizzling platter like the other one. It was all Fat. Cut up half of it and got only 2 bites of meat. The rest was FAT. No flavor at all. Disgusted with my $100 meal for myself. Please don’t dine there. They’ve been amazing for so many years and finally lost their luster. Too BadMore
Had a wonderful meal here 4/15/22; we made reservations as we heard the got fairly busy on the weekends. We called late on Friday and placed reservations for 8pm (earliest available) which was fine with us. Entered and my lady got startled by the coat...check attendant, LOL. Checked in and ordered a couple bourbon OF; seated before 8pm and ordered a couple more drinks while deciding what to order. Ordered the Canadian Walleye dinner and Italian crusted Friday fish Fry dinner; great meal cooked well and left us satisfied.More
Saw Pinewood Supper Club in a hard cover Wisconsin Supper Clubs book. We like the rustic northwoods types of restaurants and this one definitely is that. Friendly greeting by Chris, the bartender and two great Old Fashioneds. Beautiful ambiance. Nice fireplace in main dining room....Our server, Sandra, was the best!!! Found out she's been with the restaurant 34 years, said the bartender. She has a wonderful personality. The food was awesome, from the relish tray, the warm roll, to the main entree. My husband had the prime rib which was done to perfection and I had the Blackened Chicken in a pesto sauce. Both were wonderful!! Also nice selection of several salmon entrees. This was our first visit and it won't be our last!More
Starting with the outstanding setting by the lake with huge white/red pine trees ----- Just EXCELLENT in every aspect!
We live in Naples Florida but have dinner at this wonderful restaurant a couple of times a year when we visit our daughter Faye and her husband Jay who live in Mosinee. Every time I visit this place I order the same marinated steak with...blue cheese and their smashed potatoes which I ordered again last night. It was wonderful as usual. Their other entries are excellent too. Great atmosphere, view of the Wisconsin river, and superb service.More
This is our favorite restaurant in Central Wisconsin. The food, service and views can’t be beat! The crab puffs and stuffed salmon are our favorite choices. It’s fun to watch the wild life and the activity on the lake.
