My wife and I stopped in tonight for Friday fish. We have eaten here many times previously for the Sirloin burger (which is great) but never had their fish. I had Walleye and she had Cod which is pan fried on the griddle here. It...was perfectly cooked and we had the potato pancakes and garlic bread which was a pleasant change from rye bread most places serve. These were the best fish dinners we have had in years and highly recommend this place.More

First time patron based on Trip Advisor reviews for a good burger. We had the sirloin burger and were not dissappointed. The service was quick and staff was awesome. Just a reflection of the owner, who went above and beyond to make our stop first...rate! Definitely will stop the next time we are in the area.More

Preuss's has been around for a long time and always has a good following of people. The food is your average bar food, guaranteed to be good as you sit at the u shaped, cool inlaid wood bar or in the small dining room or...outside on the deck. Nothing fancy, just good food and a view of the lake!More

Chose lunch stop based on Trip Advisor reviews, GREAT choice! The owner and bartender were very pleasant, and helpful. The Italian Beef sandwhich was the BEST! Sirloin burger very good too! That's all we had room for today, but plan to try more next time!

Small north woods bar. With great food. Owner is so friendly. It’s on our must go list in our yearly visit.

We used to go to Preuss’s long before it was Preuss’s for great burgers so after driving past the place for some time now we decided to stop in for a burger for lunch. I swear the place hasn’t changed...which was exactly what we were...hoping! Service was perfect and the burgers were great! We went home full and happy!More

We stopped in here with our teen age granddaughter on our way home from Bayfield. She and I had the sirloin burgers with the works and chips and dip and they were fabulous! My husband had pizza and enjoyed that as well. Staff was friendly-...will stop by here againMore

First visit to Preuss's PUb - on a recommendation from D at Leisure City. We enjoyed the our first visit to this iconic, kitschy Northwoods original bar. It's small and intimate - the bar seats 10-12 at the most and the front dining area seats...about the same. Looks like there is a nice outdoor serving area that overlooks Little Musky Lake - we plan to visit next season. Check out the decorative, wood inlay bar - very cool. Our bartender served up a couple of Wisconsin classics - Brandy Old Fashioneds to start our evening. Tasty, but not the best...We ordered from the bar as our waitress arrived and got herself settled, she was friendly and accommodating - she made our visit comfortable. "She" tried the pan fried walleye, and I tried the "Friday Fish Fry" - both served with house made baked beans and creamy cole slaw, lemon wedges and rye bread - the food was tasty indeed, some might think a little pricey for the atmosphere but we really enjoyed the intimacy of this classic Northwood's Pub/Bar/ Restaurant. Since it's so convenient to Hwy 51, Hwy 70E (right across from the Plantation and Kwik Trip) , Minocqua, Arbor Vitae, Woodruff - I think this place often gets overlooked as you speed by towards Manitowish Waters and Boulder Junction - I know that's what happened to us. We'll definitely be back to give the outdoor area visit - instead of zooming by on Hwy 51, stop in and visit Preuss's for a visit - I think you'll enjoy the hospitalityMore
