The Island Cafe has someone of the best food in the Minocqua area. It's especially popular for breakfast and brunch. They offer a number of 'healthier' options, and include nice little touches like fruit with your breakfast and fresh flowers on the tables. It doesn't offer much in the way of ambiance, but the food more than makes up for... More

Very busy place and yet the wait staff is very pleasant and efficient. Try the veggie benedict for its fresh taste and uniqueness. Open only for lunch and breakfast, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

The cafe has been part of Minocqua for a long time. It continues to be s great spot for breakfast or a break from shopping in town. Reasonable prices. Can be crowded early on weekends.

Tried the greek omelet and it was very good. Also the veggie bennedict was nice. Chia hot tea was pricey but very very good. Overall prices are on the higher side. Long wait on one occasion.

Island Cafe has the best breakfast in Minocqua. We've been patrons of the Cafe for many years and the food is very consistently good. Service is great and everyone always seems happy. We would highly recommend it but be prepared to stand in line to get in during the summer months.

Stopped here with my daughter for a late breakfast. I think the prices are little high, but the food is really good. We couldn't decide if we were just starving or if the food was 'that good'. I had eggs, sausage and hashbrowns, she had french toast and sausage. We both cleared our plates.

The Island Café is a very pleasant place to go for lunch, especially on the outdoor patio. It is a popular place to sit, so there is often a wait. In my mind, they are known for their homemade soups which they make daily. They usually offer three and sometimes four of which the avgolemono, a delicious Greek egg lemon... More

It's been at least 10 years since we last ate here and it is still the best breakfast on the island. Do come with an appetite as the breakfast portions are LARGE but DELICIOUS!!! Best options for coffee, served in large mugs, to include Au Lait and Late. You can also have a mimosa if you so desire. Plan on... More

I have read a few of the reviews, and the complaint I saw most often was about the prices. Well, after comparing them to other local eateries, I would say, only slightly, if at all higher than the rest. One thing I have to say though is; the food is FRESH! No canned mushrooms, no left over salad being used... More
