Meatloaf wrapped in bacon, on garlic grilled bread, with home made mashed potatoes and a killer beer gravy. I feel bad gloating to the world about how good my lunch at Comet was, but you can't keep food this good a secret!

This place was on the food network because of their bacon meatloaf and mashed potatoes! If you have never tried comet cafe you definetly need to! Their bloody Mary's are amazing and they have bacon in them!!! They also have great vegetarian options!

Stopped in for brunch and it was worth the wait (about 30 minutes) Had the CHILAQUILES super yummy! Beermosa is great too. Staff is friendly, great vibe! Will be back!

In for a day of shopping and I knew about the Comet from a previous visit 3 years ago. Fantastic then and still fantastic now. I had the Reuben which is my favorite sandwich. It did not disappoint me. Perfectly carved corned beef and crunchy rye bread. My niece had the chicken strips and loved them. She loved the breading.... More

Comet Cafe is always on my list of where to eat whenever I am in Milwaukee. The service is good and friendly, the food is outstanding, and the beer selection is spot on.

A couple years back we happened to see this Milwaukee restaurant featured on the Food Network's Diners, Driveins and Dives. We decided to try it on our first visit to the Milwaukee area. Neighborhood restaurant that doesn't look like much on the outside but the food was excellent! Fast forward two years and we happened to be in the area... More

Love coming here for b'fast. Especially being able to get a breakfast beer. Sarah, our cute counter waitress, was right there for any requests, more coffee, more water, etc. and the food was great.

Came here after a night out. My wife & I are in town for a wedding from Chicago. Breakfast was outstanding! My wife had the breakfast burrito and I had a sausage, bacon, ham & cheese omelette with hash browns & toast. Both were great. I did order the biscuits & gravy and that was not so good. I don't... Comet is the whole package. Great food (meat & veg eaters living in harmony). Great service. Fun music. Did I mention there is bacon?! Bacon in the bloody mary...bacon in the loaf...bacon in the pancakes! Whole lot of yum! The atmosphere is hip, with old school bar/old school diner represented.

Thank Kristina R
