WE have been to this restaurant many times. It is wonderful. The food is Latin, NOT Mexican. It has unusual flavors and just a touch of heat. We love the atmosphere and the wait staff are wonderful, too. The owners are a couple who are...friendly and warm. We especially like the "infamous" flan for dessert. It is like a thick cheesecake. The cilantro rice with most dishes is unique. The shrimp dishes--there are 2 on the menu are both fabulous. One is stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. The other comes with a coconut cream sauce. Yum! There is parking next to the building. They take credit cards. Excellent choice for different food.More

Our first visit was this past summer with Mom who was visiting from overseas. We wanted some good latin food. Mom made it most special as did Nancy who we enjoy seeing Evey time we go. She has never forgotten us. Service is good and...the food fresh made. The Flan is like cheesecake. We are working down the menu.More

First time trying this location. Went with my usual group of lady friends (one celebrating an upcoming birthday). We shared a bottle of a very tasty trempanillo and also a pitcher of sangria. Both were good. We happened to be there on a Thursday, so...we tried the night’s special: sample any 4 tapas for $25. Great way to try the food! We shared sun-dried tomato & pumpkin seed guacamole, roasted plantains, cauliflower & walnut tacos and a couple empanadas. All very different (cauliflower & walnut tacos? Sun-dried tomatoes in guacamole?) and all very delicious! We also were served a bread course (crostini-like toasts) that came with a green spread. I didn’t hear what this was, but OMG, it was so good! After all this, we could have stopped (pretty full at this point), but we ordered entrees (I am so glad I took mine to go). The enchiladas were ordered by 2 of my friends and they raved about them, particularly the sauce (they took some home, and wanted a spatula to get all the sauce goodness!) I ordered Chili en Nogada, a poblano chili stuffed with the most delicious combination of shredded pork, fruit and walnuts - a totally unexpected & delicious filling. It was topped with a slightly sweet crema & sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. Very, very good! Wow! I don’t personally like the seeds, so I should have ask to have those skipped. (This entree is the cover photo on the restaurant webpage - very pretty!). And the last excellent surprise came in the dessert we shared (it was requested when we were first seated as a birthday cake for our friend) It was wonderful - a Latin flan (like a Latin cheesecake) with warm caramel sauce. Very dense and filling. (Again, glad we were sharing!). Our waitress was very nice, explaining all the ingredients & making recommendations for ordering. All in all, a great experience. I’d like to come back with my husband, as I think he’d really enjoy the Latin dishes.More

My wife and I had a tremendous dining experience at Antiqua restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed the Lomo Saltado. The entree is perfectly seasoned beef strips in a spicy sauce with potatoes and peppers. This is one of the best dinners I have ever stuck a...fork in. My wife enjoyed her Camarens Antiqua which is stuffed shrimp with cheese and wrapped in a bacon strip. The server was pleasant and atmosphere is very quaint. I would rate their food as five star without any hesitation.More

This restaurant moved to a new location within the past year so we went to try it out since we used to go to their prior location frequently. We were very happy that the food and service is still excellent. I had something new (for...me) off the appetizer menu. It was 3 small tacos that had walnuts, cauliflower, mild peppers and a sauce. Very delicious! I would definitely order that again. It was substantial and I had it for me entree. Others in our party ordered Lomo Saltada which was very good and Camarones Antigua which was also delicious. I will definitely return to their new location!More

The service was acceptable, the food good, but the ambiance seemed to be left behind; we were seated in the entry, dropped fork was passed up by waiters and waitresses, more parking, but it was not as warm or friendly as we experienced before

I needed paella for a Spain party I was hosting. When I got on their website to research my options, I saw that they were in the process of moving from one location to another and I was afraid that they would not be able...to accommodate me. Luckily, I was wrong and Lali happily took my order for chicken/pork paella (could not do seafood due to a guest's allergy) and I told her when I would pick it up. It was hot and fresh at the precise time I said I would be there. It was absolutely delicious and my guests are still raving about it. Once they're settled at their new location on 62 & National, I'll be trying them again. Top-notch service and delicious food!!More
