Bacchus offers contemporary American cuisine in a stylish, modern and sleek setting overlooking Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee. Boasting one of the city's most extensive wine lists and a menu that features seasonal local ingredients. In recognition of the restaurant’s 15th anniversary, Executive Chef Nick Wirth has reinvigorated Bacchus with a modern aesthetic and newly-unveiled seasonal menu, one that, he says, “emphasizes more progressive dishes and flavor profiles.”

for our daughter's graduation! Very good service, one of the best I ever had. It is abit pricey but everything was first class. We love it and were not disappointed. They had recently open up and worked off of a Fix Menu. Parking (as they...told us) is abit tight, we toke a Uber there. Food was all unique and excellent. Thank you!More

Her birthday dinner was absolutely incredible. The space was idyllic and our server Danielle was friendly without being overbearing. Joe, the sommelier was patient and kind in navigating the extensive Bordeaux list. ☺️ The evening was well paced and we enjoyed all selections from the...amuse bouchée to the port tasting in the three course prix fixe menu. Thank you Bacchus! We will be back. NB and KMEMore

Finally had a chance to dine here following their recent remodel and reimagining. The food and service is a definite step above what it was and we will gladly become regulars here. The music playlist they had was also enjoyable: from Wilco, Oasis, the Cure,...Talking Heads, to Matthew Sweet and the National. Our kind of music. Incredible drinks and food. Highly recommend.More

After returning to Milwaukee, that was one of our first date out with my wife. We found it noisy, with rock music: not what we expected for a evening date dinner. The food was really average for the price paid, and the signature menu was...uninspiring. I had the octopus on hummus which sounded interesting but the spicy sauce overpowered the whole dish. The other dish were equally average. Regarding the service, we had to ask for a second serving of wine, the server did not notice our glasses were empty. Sorry, when we spend north of $200 on a dinner for 2 we expect something memorable.More

Enjoyed our anniversary dinner at a romantic table at Bacchus. Great salad, soup and dinner entrees in an elegant atmosphere.

An elegantly appointed space with beautifully presented courses that satisfy and sometimes challenge the palate. The menu is limited and probably your best choice is to go with the 5 course Chef's Tasting Menu for $75 - add $45 for wine pairing. You can specify...food preferences (we didn't want pork) which they accommodated and then you just wait for the surprise from the kitchen. All were delicious - small portions, each was subtle and delicious and each was a feast for the eyes. You'll definitely want to make reservations although when we were there, there were quite a few empty tables so maybe they'll take walkins.More

Our Friday evening dinner at Bacchus will be fondly remembered as one of the best meals we've enjoyed. The dining room is lovely, and the hostess chose a perfect corner table for our cozy meal. Michael and Nick were attentive servers and treated us well....We chose the Chateaubriand for two, which was served with potatoes, mushrooms and brussels sprouts, and it was divinely delicious. The restaurant had hosted an Opus One wine event the night before, and we were thrilled to help drink the rest! The Almond Joy dessert was a high-end interpretation of my favorite candy bar. Some reviews are mentioning positive or negative experiences ordering the 5- or 7-course tasting menus. We asked for a sneak peek of the courses offered that night, and this foreknowledge helped us decide on the meal we would most enjoy.More

Wife and I decided to dine out at Bacchus before a trip to Jamaica. Reservations were easy. Valet parking is very much appreciated. Seated immediately and greeted immediately by our waiter ‘Nick’. Congenial college kid formerly from West Virginia. We had so many gift cards...from our kids, I thought Bacchus would have to re-pay us. Wine selection is extraordinary. Settled on a Reisling. Quite good. Appetizer suggestion brought us Pati de faux gra (ignore the spelling) but do not pass it up. Super great. Spinach salad was superior. The nightly special was tremendous. Rib eye steak for two. Too much, called for a ‘doggie bag’. Coffee flavored Creme Brûlle set us off to cap a great night. Not sure if the service beat the dinner or vice versa. But this is our top choice for ‘special dinners’. Car valet ran the 40 yards in 4,4 or so.More
