Only go here for this salad. And yes the menu describes it so well and pictures show it so well however.... Warning it is even a thousand times better than it looks in savory taste and tenderness. The grilled pita bread that is put on...the salad is absolutely the best pita bread I've ever had!!! The oil dressing made by Apollo is so so good also they include a container of yogurt dressing. Many vegetables in this salad along with a copious amount of chicken grilled and lemon juice... I must stop here because I can't think about anything else since I've had that salad!!! -Anne-More

Excellent food and nice friendly staff. Stuffed peppers and potatoes are so good. Baklava is a must. It’s a place that you tell everyone...” just go there and you’ll love the food!”

Apollo has the most amazingly delicious foods and beverages. Yes...their gyro is the most delicious I've ever had....and I have had so many...the others cannot compare. We had the Mediterranean salad with chicken and that is amazingly delicious... The best salad ever had! Lastly, for...beverages, we had their lemonade.... again so delicious. If you want to have the best coffee ever, order the Greek coffee. Wow wow wow!!! Have their baklava with it and you will be in Greek heaven.More

Wow! The portions were so big. We really enjoyed our meals. The gyro was phenomenal, and I loved the chicken. My sister is a vegan, and she was very happy with her options. Nice guys working the place too!

Food was fine. Serves not so good. Cashier seemed bothered he had to take my order. I had interrupted his cell phone time. Probably would go to the other places around there next time.

Apollo serves excellent Greek food, from egg lemon soup to souvlaki, shish kebobs, salads, baklava. Order at the counter, watch them cook, eat at tables with beautiful Greek decor, at very reasonable prices. The food of course is the main thing that makes it so...special, but the owner and staff manage to be friendly and efficient at the same time. It is on Brady Street, which used to be the Haight-Ashbury of Milwaukee, but is now just a busy street with several coffee shops, many bars, nice well-priced ethnic restauants., and a few clothing shops.More

We shared the combination platter, everything was very good...highly recommend. Ordered it with the rice (very delicious) but want to try the Greek potatoes next time. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Brady street...can’t wait to go back.

Good Greek food at a good price. Brady Street so parking is a nightmare. The combination platter is excellent, with enough food to share. The baklava wasn't as fresh as I'd like, but still good.

My husband and I stopped in this cafe last week for about the third time. Apollo Cafe is a great way to get like-home prepared food in short order from ordering at the front counter. Recently we ordered the Pastitsio and the Veggie Platter (includes...Veggie Dolmathes, Spanakópita and Greek Salad piled high). Spanakopita in this case is a dense, tall, spinach and feta mixture with not so much phyllo dough as other versions elsewhere. Very tasty. Pastitsio includes long macaroni tubes that are densely piled in a 3.5-inch high cube with seasoned ground beef and sauce. This is a huge, flavorful serving! Warm pita bread slices accompanied our order. Desserts include rice pudding, baklava, and flan. The flan was excellent. Our dinner with 2 entrees, 1 dessert and tap water came to $24. My husband remembered the side dish of the fantastic Greek potatoes, but this time chose the rice pilaf accompaniment. This is rice in a tomato-based sauce with perhaps grape leaf shreds, a saucier, wetter version than he was expecting -- but then we're not experts in Greek food. Next time he'll go back to the Greek potatoes. This is a hidden gem of a place! Try it!More

Since I moved from Milwaukee I don't get here as often, but stopped here for lunch. It still serves the best lentil soup ever. Great gyros also. Friendly staff, great prices, and fabulous food.
