Amazing ribs and jambalaia (hot and spicy). Nice beers, like everywhere in Milwaukee but try the Lagunitas IPA (wow!) and excellent ambience and service. Place was pretty full even being Wednesday, so better make a reservation. I will come back for sure.

We were staying downtown Milwaukee and wanted to find a pub. The Swinging Door fit the bill!!! We had fish and chips, shrimp and some beers. Everything was great. Server was super friendly . We ended up going back the next day for brunch, same friendliness and great food. The perfect place to hang out.

We were looking for someplace we hadn't been to celebrate a birthday. This was a great pick! Good service and good food and enjoyed the atmosphere.

I have been here several times when I travel to Milwaukee for business. It reminds me of a bar like "Cheers" with lots of locals and travelers hanging out at the bar talking, drinking and eating. Food menu is varied and very good. Recommend the homemade chips and prime rib sandwich.

We chose this restaurant based on the ranking on Tripadvisor. We were very disappointed. The food was fine but the servers were not friendly at all.

We came here for dinner. Waitstaff was good. It was a nice little cozy place. Food was good except, if you order the ribs, the "house made sauce" if friggin' HOT.... They don't warn you of this in advance. The rest of the meal was just average. Rolls Price was mid-range

We were looking for something local, and good food. Swingin' Door Exchange is exactly that. The roasted pickled carrots and beers are awesome, atmosphere is good, crowd is friendly The Dip is good , as well as the Reuben, staff is very accommodating for special requests as well as reasonable prices

We lunched at the Swinging Door Exchange and had such a great meal. The mussels were the best we've had in a long time and my burger was just soooo tasty. The prices are VERY reasonable, staff is friendly, and the ambiance just great!! Definitely worth a stop.

My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend to dinner on a Sunday night. It was their first visit and they have heard us talk about this place for years. We were greeted immediately upon entry and took a spot in the bar area. We had a round of drinks (they have Schlitz on tap) and saw a... More

Stopped here thanks to TripAdvisor reviews, and were happy that we did! Our server was pleasant, and there was a wide range in clientele (young/old, blue collar/suit & tie, etc.) which shows how much this place appeals to everyone. I ordered the NY Strip Steak special, with grilled beets and Brussels sprouts on the side. The steak was cooked as... More
