My wife and I were doing a weekender in Milwaukee and came across good reviews for this restaurant- and those reviews were spot on. One side of the establishment is a bar and the other side is a smallish dining room. We ate in the dining room. There was a great balance in the atmosphere- energy in the room but... More

I'm so glad trip advisor led me here for one of the best meals I've had lately. I went alone for dinner and the friendly staff made me feel very welcome. I had a roasted beet salad and the famous carrots, which ended up being more food than I could eat. I enjoyed the leftover carrots for a hotel room... More

I had worked near this place for years and never been. We were looking for a light dinner prior to a show and saw this highly ranked on trip advisor. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality. We had mussels and chicken buffalo dip for appetizers followed by a salad. The mussels were very good and served with... More

Amazing food. The vermouth carrots best side dish anywhere. This is also a bar. Cheap beers 3 for $5. Fancy beers too. Friday fish fry always crowded

Very good "bar" food that came out quick and hot. Nice selection too. Very cozy bar with friendly staff and customers. Neat old building.

Awesome bar. Best reason for staying at the Hilton Garden Inn across the road. Friendly atmosphere and has local feel even if you are a visitor from out of town. Food is really great. Well prepared and wholesome. Had the Sunday night special and the salad and very pleased. Great selection of beers. Regulars happy to chat.

Found out about this place after a winter ice bike ride with some friends. Turns out it's a hang out for a lot of the bike messengers. I've been back many times since and I've honestly never had a bad item on any of the meals I've had! Whomever is cooking seems to take a great deal of pride in... More

The best food and ambiance I've had in a long time.. great service. A gem I will always return to. Chicken sandwich was awesome. Mussels to die for. My son loved the appetizer sliders. Not a huge burger but just enough.

I stumbled upon the Swinging Door Exchange a few years ago when I was in Milwaukee for a concert weekend and have went back every time I'm in the area since. This bar/eatery is located in a very ornate, historic downtown Milwaukee building and the interior has a cozy, welcoming feel to it that just makes you want to hang... More
