We wanted a fun setting that captured Milwaukee. This was definitely what we were looking for. The pretzels appetizer was delicious. The burgers and chicken pot pie were good, nothing exceptional, but we enjoyed our evening anyhow. We wanted to sit right away so we took a table inside, but we asked for a seat by the window so we... More

Visited on a mid afternoon Friday in summer-no outside seating, front half the house empty and we waited about 15 minutes to get seated. A waitress came by our table in the front bar to set up for dinner-was very awkward, not a good start. Food arrived relatively quickly and all meats were cooked properly to requests. The flank steak... More

Fun tables overlooking the water, but understaffing or disorganization led to a long pre-table and pre-food wait. Upbeat pub fare. We had dull veggie burgers and better Rueben sandwiches.

Came here for lunch on a family vacation. An event had just ended over the lunch hour and the greeting staff was definitely flustered. They directed us to the bar and we went ahead and ordered our drinks and meals. They then moved us to another table without communicating to other staff that we were moving. Food came out promptly... From Chicago we drove up for a Cubbies game and decided to try out the Milwaukee Ale House for dinner before the game. We started out with an appetizer and so the meal began okay, accept for the fact that our waiter was not very attentive. Once we got to our meals though... well... One out of the four of... More

The Ale House has a great selection of beers and always something new on the drink menu. Plus the food has always been tasty. And, when the weather is good, the patio on the river is a great place to enjoy a meal and drinks.

Stopped in here for a few cold ones and had a blast. Really friendly people outdoor on the patio and a few visiting even had their dogs outside in the terrace

A group of us stopped in for an earlier supper. We were seated right away. They have serval beers that they make there that were good. Started off with the cheese curds, which were great. Everyone enjoyed their entrée, grilled cheese with soup, bacon cheeseburger, fish. The service was good and friendly. You can choose to sit outside with a... More

We were strolling along the Riverwalk and hoping to find a happening bar/restaurant to sit outside and have a drink. We came across MKE Ale House and it was just what we were looking for. There was a band of two guys playing acoustic cover songs outside. We sat outside, listened to the band, had a drink. It was a... More

Terrible experience! We waited 1 1/2 hours for our food. Some in our party said their food was cold, service was miserable, it was awful.
