This is an affordable Italian restaurant that has a nice homey feel to it and gives feelings of nostalgia when walking in the door. Trendoid it is not. It's just a decent place to get a decent consistent and affordable Italian meal.
Just went to get a pizza it was bad the crust tasted like cardboard it was not fully cooked so had to put in back in the over. I have never had a pizza this bad and the price very expensive Not worth is
Order 99 percent of my Pizza’s from here. Best pizza I ever had. Sauce has a touch of sweetness but not overbearing. Thicker crust which is awesome. Had other pizzas throughout the state and never found a comparable one
Looking for a good new pizza experience, my friend who lives in the area recommended Filipinos. Since we live about 25 minutes away, we ordered our pizza par-baked and uncut. We finished cooking it in our oven at home and it was delicious!
Plenty of...toppings, love the sausage! The sauce was a bit on the sweet side but still very good. My pet peeve is not enough sauce on a pizza, not the case here. Plenty of sauce!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a great thin crust pizza, I will return!More
Ordered Filippo's on a friday night and wanted delivery which they said would take an hour+. Pizzas arrived in 40 minutes, that's great service! Their cheese garlic bread is thick cut Italian bread with generous amounts of cheese and delicious. Their pizzas have a great...house crust which is a little thicker, it is excellent. They also offer a thin crust, but we prefer the thicker. Toppings were plentiful and they use a sweeter pizza sauce that is excellent. Great overall meal!More
My wife and I have been to Filippo's several times with our son and daughter-in-law. We're from out of state and are always on the look-out for great places to eat. Filippo's is without a doubt the best Italian restaurant we've found. On my first...visit I had the lasagna which was exceptional. My wife is very picky about alfredo sauce and she asked to sample it before she ordered and they were happy to comply. Turns out the sauce is the best she's ever had. I'm now hooked on the Spiedini A La Siciliano. The portions are huge so there is always some to take home and enjoy the next day. The members of the staff are friendly and efficient. Filippo's has become a must stop whenever we visit.More
Don't go to dinner for convenience sake. Instead, take a little drive to the near south side on Lincoln Ave and experience, in my opinion, is the best Italian food, period! When is the last time you have fried eggplant that was perfectly cooked? At...Filippo's, they make it all from scratch and by hand. You would have to point me to another establishment that can do it better. Forget about that trendy NYC pizza joint in Brookfield...Filippo's pizza crust is better, especially the regular. Yeasty. A little thicker that their thin crust. Awesome! If pepperoni is your deal, they use nickel size slices and the flavor...well, just try it. I don't eat pepperoni and I loved it. For large parties, reserve their back room. We just had an anniversary party with 15 adults and 5 kids. Our server, Pam, was the best! Everyone ordered off the menu and there wasn't much talking when the food arrived as ordered...too busy eating. Other than the best lasagna around, which I enjoyed, the topper was cannelloni customized with alfredo sauce. Check it out and make your way to Filippo's. You will be sending me a thank you note!More
