Currently they’re only doing carry out due to the pandemic. Entering this place feels like you’re stepping back in time, nothing has changed in this place, which is definitely a good thing. Food quality is amazing. It feels like you pay a little of a premium for the sandwich, but it’s worth it.

Great little eating spot. Has great corned beef sandwiches. Parking only along the streets. Does take credit cards.

I frequented this place as a teenager and young adult. I visited from Dallas hoping to taste the memories of one the past. I spent $17 on a Ruben sandwich with American cheese . and thousand Island. It was awful. the bead was soggy and sandwhich looked nothing like the advertised photo. Skip this restaurant.

We stopped for lunch and had the matzo ball soup, Reuben, and pastrami sandwiches. The food was delicious and the employees were super friendly.

We were here about 8 years ago and Jake's is not the same! The steam table for the corned beef isn't operating and the corned beef has way too much fat. The place seems old and the lighting was dim. We split a corned beef sandwich and the rye bread seemed old and dry. Disappointed.

My wife and I visited Jake's to watch Randy Santel take on the Commish Challenge. Before the challenge took place we both ordered something to eat. I had a Corned Beef on toasted bread, my wife had a turkey sandwich. Both were fresh and great tasting. The corned beef melted in my mouth it was so tender. The people working there were very friendly and made us feel welcome. When we are back in the area we will be sure to visit again!

Must have changed owners as there is no longer table service, running out of pastrami and my $11 corned beef sandwich was 30% fat. No satisfaction when talking to the staff. I use to visit here monthly until moving out of state, now its yearly and this might be my last visit to this historic location!

Let’s get this out of the way now: Yes, Jake’s is in a terrible neighborhood. No, it doesn’t feel like a traditional deli, especially with hip hop music blasting on the radio. Having said that, the food is amazing. The corned beef is insanely buttery, and melts in your mouth. Just rock star food that I highly recommend. I could eat lunch here literally every day.

Jake's corned beef sandwiches are the best around. Problem is, the location is horrible. Straight up ghetto. It's bad enough that we don't go here, just because it doesn't feel safe. Other problem is it's overpriced. They raise the price like every time we go. It's a shame, because it's a good sandwich. But pretty sure it was like $13 for a corned beef sandwich last time. Almost have to split one or else it's $26 for the two if us to eat.

Our great waitress, Geraldine, served us a corned beef and a reuben, that was amazing! Walk in and grab a seat at the tables or booths. Homemade delicious meats - the owners will answer any questions you have on their meats. No adult beverages here. Easy parking, fills up at lunchtime. Amazing place - saw it on Man vs Food. So glad I saw that episode.

Ample opportunity to visit and share some of the best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches around and well known! Always looking forward to a visit here to people watch and very often, enjoy the wait for your turn to order. We usually prefer to dine in here as the service, if you can garner s booth, seems to be faster! If you're interested, perhaps you should be adventurous and share the Matzo Ball Soup especially during the winter! Centrally located in this city, there's always a diverse group of people who patronize Jake's and their allegiance to this extremely delicious delicatessen is so amazingly beautiful!
