Soup dumplings are wonderful, along with the Xiao Long Bao . The perfect amount of spice. For my main dish I ordered the Vietnamese Bun Cha Gio. It was a nice fresh dish but a little too mild tasting for me. So many more items...to try next time. I will definitely returnMore

Momo Mee is always crowded. That provides answers in itself, and the masses of patrons are not there because of social media. They crowd Momo Mee because it is the best Chinese restaurant in Milwaukee. We live nearby, but people drive, to what is now...called the Harbor District, from all over. The food is delicious and rivals what we ate during our years living in the Pacific North West. Dumplings are sublime. Crispy noodle dishes burst with flavor. Crispy beef is my favorite on Momo Mee's extensive menu, but everything is good. The space is new, large and comfortable. Our server, Alexandria, was enthusiastic and helpful. By the way, Momo Mee has a large bar also. Make a reservation because although Momo Mee is a gem, it is far from hidden.More

Went here on a Saturday night and it was a tad busy. Seating is a bit limited. Value and food are good. They have a lot of choices, so it was difficult for me to pick the one I wanted the most. The Korean Spicy...noodles ARE spicy but good. Lots of other patrons had dumplings; they seemed to be a popular choice. I would go back here.More

Went tonight to Momo Mee for a birthday celebration. It was our first time and owners helped us with the menu, showed us how to eat the broth dumplings, and checked up on us a few times. Food was excellent and we will be back.

I was looking so forward to eating here with all the wonderful reviews. The food was above average but the uncaring callous manager ruined my meal. They were very busy but it was inexcusable our meal for 2 took over 1 1/2 hours to come....Our server was great and kept apologizing and saying our ticket was next but more meals came out and diners seated 1/2 hours after us were served and finished before we finally received our food. We complained and were told by our server that the manager (owner’s wife) wasn’t going to do anything regarding the delay. She came by our table barely looked at us and said “Oh so sorry” then walked away. We will. Ever be back. Truly business is good and they don’t care about customer service. Too loud and cramped anyway…..More

Stopped in midweek for a late dinner. It was busy and we figured out why: This place is amazing! Started with the Pork Belly Taiwanese Gua Bao (delicious mix of flavors) and steamed chicken dumplings (perfectly made). My daughter had been wanting to try the...Xiao Long Bao but was nervous about how to eat them. Our server, Anai, was so helpful and kind. We didn’t even have to ask and she walked us through how to have the best experience with each dish. Despite being busy, we felt very comfortable with the barriers between tables and the sanitizing that we saw happening. And, every employee in the restaurant greeted us, thanked us, and made us feel at home. Oh! And you have to get a Mai Tai! It is relaxation in a cup and the cup is the cutest thing ever!More

I cannot rave enough about this place! My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner and they accommodated us without a reservation (we didn't know we needed to make one). The food was beyond amazing. We ordered the Taiwanese Gua Bao...with pork belly to start and that was mouth watering. The pork was very flavorful and altogether tasty. We then ordered the Xiao long bao at the suggestion of the waiter. It was phenomenal! And did I mention the service!?! The best we have had in a long time! Cruz was our waiter and not did he only make excellent recommendations for food, he was extremely personable, funny and polite! He definitely added to our experience for dinner. This place will be on top of my list for places to eat out.More

Fun place! Glad we stopped by. LOVED their Szechuan peppercorn clay pot dish. My wife and I adore a good numbing Szechuan peppercorn dish. The ramen was a little too salty but good. Drinks were good as well. Service was very very good, waitress was...awesome, owner super kind and asked how our meal was. Look forward to coming back next time we are in MilwaukeeMore

First time? O.K., the Xiao Long Bao is a requirement. The helpful staff will lead you through them. We were overwhelmed by the menu after that, but the staff is there to help and help they do. For us it was a Crispy Pan Fried...Noodles (with shrimp) and one pot of Szechuan Mala with chicken. Great, great flavors. Open, airy space. Easy parking. In the shadow (really) of the Allen-Bradley/Rockford clock. Great staff. Go.More

Two of us came for mid afternoon lunch for our first visit after a strong recommendation from a knowledgeable friend. Nice to see couples, families with children, and small groups of singles all enjoying themselves. Not loud at all though. And if music was playing,...it must have been low level because I can’t recall hearing any. Our server helped us through some questions for first timers, and made sure we knew how to handle the (wonderful!) Shanghai soup dumplings with hot broth inside. You need to know how to handle those or you can make a mess. The other two entrees were super (garlic eggplant with tasty sauce and rice, and a noodles thing with fried egg and shrimp, scallions, bean sprouts, etc.). We couldn’t come close to finishing those two entrees (we definitely finished the soup dumplings) so will have some tasty food for dinner at home later tonight. The owner came by a couple of times to make sure all was well, as did our server. We will be back!More

I’ve been wanting to check out Momo Mee for a while, but only recently had the chance. I definitely have been missing out! The food is phenomenal and authentic. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. Momo Mee offers a large and widely...varied menu, along with plenty of fun drink options. We had a fun dinner with friends, and I cannot wait to go back. None of us had dined at Momo Mee before, and our server offered to explain the menu items which was helpful. We started off with the Xiao Long Bao, a first for all of us. They were absolutely delicious – each bite a (pleasantly) salty explosion of flavor and broth in your mouth. We also shared an order of the Taiwanese Gua Bao with Korean Beef. These were fantastic as well, loaded with flavor and a modest portion of two buns were split between the four of us. For mains, two of us went with the Tonkotsu Ramen, one Cantonese Clay Pot, and one Shiitake Ramen. All of our dishes were delicious. I was extremely impressed with the Tonkotsu Ramen; good, authentic tasting ramen is hard to find, and the broth and the noodles were perfect. The egg was cooked perfectly with a slightly runny yolk, and the pork was delicious. Momo Mee is now one of my favorite places for ramen in Milwaukee. I tried a bit of the Shiitake Ramen and was also impressed with this. Our friend enjoyed the Cantonese Clay Pot as well, which was such a fun presentation. Dining at Momo Mee was a great experience. Although it was a little pricey, you get what you pay for and the food was delicious. The only thing that was a little off about the evening was trying to pay; we wanted to split the bill in half (which for four people I feel is reasonable), but our server was nowhere to be found for a while after the bill was dropped off and so we had to go find her and awkwardly request the split. I wish it had been offered, as the four of us were all clearly not together, and we felt like we were an inconvenience for asking. Regardless, I look forward to returning and trying more of the wonderful-looking menu!More

Living in the center of the largest Chinatown in New York City, my Taiwanese friend and I were somewhat skeptical when we decided to eat at Momo Mee restaurant. The rave reviews of the food at Momo Mees, we believed, had to come from people...who just didn't know authentic Asian food. After all, we were in Milwaukee, for gosh sakes! But, WE WERE WRONG. Our meals at Momo Mees provided us with some of the best homemade dumplings and noodles we have ever tasted. All the ingredients were fresh, succulent, and vibrant, from the beef in the beef noodles, to the vegetables in the clay pot stew. The blends of spices and textures created soups and sauces that were perfect. We enjoyed a chat with the head chef, who came over and talked with us for a little while. Our server was ultra personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. The decor is very classy and appropriate for this type of cuisine. There were so many well described choices on the menu, I will definitely be going back to Mome Mees; and when I get back home, I will be hard-pressed to find Cantonese and Shanghaiese meals that are as delicious as the ones I had at Momo Mees.More

We finally made a long anticipated visit to Momo Mee. We are huge fans of Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings and are excited they are now in Milwaukee. It was a very good visit and we will be back. We arrived around noon on a...Sunday. There was one other table seated. I had wondered how busy they would be and feared the place would fill up quickly with the brunch crowd. However, they don't have a brunch menu and it was a Packer Sunday. The menu and website clearly state that when the soup dumplings are gone there will be no more until the next day. That made me anxious which is why we arrived early. Our server informed us that if they do run out it’s not until about 8pm so my fears were unfounded. We were the only table our server had for most of our visit. Her service was excellent, but, she checked in with us quite a bit. It was hard to be annoyed when her intent was to make sure we were happy. It’s just that when I’m fighting with slippery food and chop sticks I’d rather pretend that no one is watching me. My chop stick skills could use some improvement. I've been known to pick up dim sum with my fingers, finding that less shameful than asking for a fork. It was a relief not to have to ask for a fork at Momo Mee. They were already on the table. We both ordered the MO Fashioned. We were surprised that the drink was served without ice. It was very good and definitely meant to be sipped. We chose Shao Mai and Fresh Spring Rolls for appetizers. I found the Shao Mai to be a little chewy and the Spring rolls were made with thick noodles in the filling, not vermicelli as stated on the menu. Where as I was "meh", my husband found them both quite good. He liked the large whole shrimp in the spring rolls. We chose the Xiao Long Bao, pan fried Pot Stickers and Dan Dan Noodles for our mains. The XLB were good. Not as good as those we've found in Chicago's China Town. However, these are LOT closer than Hing Kee and it will be much easier to get a fast XLB fix in the future. Two of the 8 had no soup in them which was a bit of a disappointment. The Pot Stickers were perfect. We got quite full and barely touched the Dan Dan Noodles. We took them home and I’m eating them for lunch right now. They are kind of salty but have a nice amount of hot spice. I’ve never had Dan Dan and I expected more sauce. My husband said the dish looked like spaghetti with a dry meat sauce. In looking at the Yelp pictures it appears that the dish may not be prepared consistently. We will be back and probably very soon. Although I can't rave about my visit at least one of us like each item we ordered. I want to go back for my beloved Xiao Long Bao and try some other dishes.More
