Great and inexpensive place for a burger. The meals are a perfect size--not too big and not too small. The peanut "bombs" are a fun gimmick. I'd recommend it if you're nearby!

I was in town with my teen daughter and she selected this place for dinner. I was a little skeptical when she said they had only burgers. I ordered the colonel mustard burger. It was served on a pretzel roll and had the most AMAZING...mustard. It was top notch!! They should seriously bottle that stuff and sell it. The atmosphere and service were also great! We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Milwaukee!More

There was no chicken available for us that night. We ordered burgers which were cooked perfectly and very tasty. The french fries were great. A couple of boozy shakes later and we were very happy. The staff was friendly and efficient. Great little place.

The atmosphere was fantastic as was the food. I will return when I'm back in the area. Make sure you have a Sharpie when you arrive... You'll want to sign the wall, table or your chair!

Funky little place trying to channel a dive bar. We headed here for lunch as it was walking distance from the immigration offices where my son-in-law had just been officially sworn in as a new US citizen. Giant tasty burgers. Fast, friendly service was very...welcome.More

We were in Milwaukee for the day, and decided to try what is commonly referred to as the "Best Burger in Milwaukee", and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the "Milwaukee" (description in menu pic) with tots and a cold PBR. It was cooked to a...perfect medium, and didn't need any condiments at all. Our server, Sammi, was adorable and bubbly, and did an excellent job of making sure that we were taken care of. We travel to Milwaukee often, and plan on returning.More

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a couple of beers and an appetizer. Good beer selection and the curds were good. Sat at the bar and the bartender and server (Celeste) were very friendly. They ran bombers of peanuts for the kids including some...candy thrown in for halloween. It is a small place, so it is a good wait for food at prime times but definitely somewhere to visit when in downtown Milwaukee.More

My family and I were in Milwaukee just for one day and wanted to try fried cheese curds and custard that Milwaukee is known for. AJ Bombers was perfect to satisfy both wishes. Their fried curds with a spicy aioli was delicious and AJ has...the best booze custard shakes! Our burgers we also really tasty. I’d definitely recommend a visit!More

Cheese curds were really good. Tater tots were better than average. I had the Barrie Burger with peanut butter. I read one of the reviews here that said that they were surprised at how well the peanut butter worked on a burger. It didn’t. Even...without the pb, mucking it up, the hamburger I had was average at best.More

Loved the Milwaukee burger and cheese curds. Lots of flavor. The sauce for curds have a nice kick to them. I would come back.

We stumbled on this restaurant by chance and thought we'd give it a shot for Mothers Day. It looked like a fun place for a family with kids. We drove about an hour and we were not disappointed! The shakes were delicious, especially the boozy...ones ;) The cheese curds were just right and the sauce had just enough kick! The burgers with the sauce and the fresh toppings- oh man! The atmosphere is great, with a friendly server. We all wrote on the walls with permanent marker, which the kids thought was cool. They did not do the peanut bombs while we were there, but we will for sure be back! Great food and great atmosphere.More

Appears to be a small, dark corner bar, and if I hadn’t read the good reviews I might have walked out. SO HAPPY I DIDN’T!!! The food and drinks were great! The Cheese Cheese and More Cheese Burger had so much flavor! The waiter brought...ketchup and mustard, but I never touched them. We also had a boozey shake which was huge (they even bring you the steel blending cup with extra shake in it). You can taste the high quality ice cream in it. The bartender/waiter was friendly and efficient. All in all a great experience. Can’t wait to bring the rest of my family to this restaurant.More
