This fashionable and comfortable bar is on the roof of The Journeymen hotel in Milwaukee’s fashionable Third Ward. It’s a Klimpton property. We were out driving around and a beautiful Late Sunday afternoon and decided to Grab a drink after we were able to secure...parking spot right in front of the hotel. That’s hard to do and I figured it was, so she go up and have a drink. I ordered a Mojito which was delicious with fresh mint but way too much ice. My companion ordered bloody Mary that she said it was just right not too spicy but it was small drink with a lot of ice. The reason I mention the size of the cocktails is because it came to an eye-popping $31 for both drinks. Ouch. That is some thing I would expect to New York City or Chicago or someplace like that. Not Milwaukee Wisconsin. Also service was glacially slow, although in their defense there was a sign up at the hostess table explain there may be delays because they’re short staffed and they’re working as hard as they can. The rooftop bar is very comfortable, it’s laid out with great conversation pits. The outside bar could only handle beer and wine the day we were there. When I went up to the bar to order our cocktails I was told she would have to go to the inside bar to get our drinks. It didn’t matter to me where she got them. The place has a good vibe, I’m just expecting a little bit more for $31.More

Wow. The sign says “be kind” on the hostess stand should apply to your employees as well. Out first time there was not a good experience. Spent 44 plus tips on our 2 drinks then tried to sit at a high top outside while there...were several open tables. They asked us to move. While we moved, we were unable to get additional drinks at the bar - no bartender and when they returned didn’t acknowledge us. When we left over 35 minutes later, the table was still vacant. I’ve travelled the world and never been treated this poorly ;(. We won’t be returningMore

We were encouraged by local friends of ours to try to Cheese Curds and by the hotel staff to try the Spare Rib sliders. What a treat! I'll remember them fondly both for some time to come

Perfect for a Sunday night sunset with friends. We sat around a fire on a cool October evening enjoying the view. Great drinks and good food, though food options are very limited. This is a place for drinks, not dinner. Cocktail menu is the most...expensive I’ve seen in MKE, but the setting is worth it,More

We stopped here for after dinner drinks and to see the sunset. I had originally found this place on trip advisor but our waiter at our dinner stop said this place was the place to go to for the best views of the sunset! It...did not disappoint. The views are outstanding and staff is just as awesome. When they found out we were celebrating 10 years of marriage, they made it so special! My hubby loved all the different cocktails they suggested and they also make mocktails upon request! We did not try any of the appetizers but they all looked amazing. We will definitely be back to visit.More

Just do it . For the views, for the drinks, for the awesome service. A worthy spot. Ask for a rose 75 or old fashioned with gin. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll come back 100%

I was there with a large group of friends recently. I loved it. We got a nice spot close to a fireplace. Our service was excellent and drinks good but a bit overpriced to be honest. We had several appetizers which were good but not...great. Not many choices for the vegetarians in our group. So not 5 stars but high 4s.More

Even though they still had their summer menu (in mid-October) the bartender made me a hot-toddy that wasn't on the menu. It was perfect to sit on the rooftop patio and chill.

Well, not quite. There was a group of us there that had stopped to get drinks before dinner. Then another group showed up and we decided to order food. So we were there for a while. It’s located at the top of the Journeyman Hotel...(a small boutique hotel) on the 9th level. The service was great and the drinks were reasonably high priced with a varied selection of beers and spirits. The views were great at dusk. I held back from rating this place a five since getting a seat at a working fireplace seemed to be a problem when we were there. There were seven or eight of us at a high top but when we finally moved to the fireside lounge area we were disappointed to find that the fire wasn’t working. The group next to us had a working fireplace but didn’t want theirs on. Would seem like an easy switch.More

Stopped in for a couple drinks before dinner. Beautiful place, with friendly staff. It was extremely busy that afternoon but got waited on pretty quickly. I would love to go back at night and sit at one of the gas fire tables.
