This was my hangout when I lived in Milwaukee. I'm always happy to get to stop by when I'm in town. I highly recommend the honey bee (vanilla and honey latte). Thank me later. : ) I'm pleased to see they have mulitple tables outside...now. There's a location in the Milwaukee Public Market too.More

A neat, locally owned coffee roasting company inside the Milwaukee Public Market. Lots of very unique choices but a little pricey.

Every time my husband and I visit our son in Bay View, we always walk over to Anodyne for morning coffee. It's always friendly there and that wonderful coffee smells so good the minute you walk in the door! It's a great place to meet...up with friends or family and start your day!More

This was my first stop when I ventured into Milwaukee a while back. A wonderful spot to start the day. Delicious cup of coffee and a warm, quirky atmosphere.

Great place for a coffee in the morning - near the Iron Horse Hotel. Friendly staff. The latte was very good. They have a small selection of breakfast items and also sell their coffee beans. Lots of people seemed to use the shop for studying...- laptops were everywhere on a Saturday morning.More

We were here in New Years Eve for a wedding. I loved the look of the inside! So trendy! It was set up beautifully for this little wedding! The prime rib was superb and the potatoes were sooo good! I loved their iced coffee! Delish...and strong! Just how I like it! Then they had a wine I’d never heard of which was soooo good! I need to figure out it’s name because I may have a new favorite wine! The staff was so fun and very friendly! We had a wonderful night! I may have to visit on a normal day to see what it’s like then! :)More

Nice little place here. Coffee was good. The sport tea, which is new to me, was really good and refreshing. Service was fast and friendly. Snacks were good. Pizza looked good but I didn't try it. Would visit again.

I want to love Anodyne, but it's not quite there. First, the coffee. We mostly shop there for pounds. They are a good roaster, but from a price perspective just a bit more than Colectivo up the street and without the loyalty program (or if...they have one they don't publicize it). Next, the food. The pizza has good flavor, but soggy crust. If that's your thing, great, but I like the crisp bite. Also, everything on the menu is set recipes, so no mixing and matching, which is half the fun of pizza. Appetizers are good, and there are options, but it's not for everyone. As far as non-coffee beverages, definitely not enough beer selection. If you're going to have 6-8 beer choices, you need a Wit in there, not multiple IPAs (which are crap beers anyway). The space itself is great with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Parking is a bit hit or miss, but there's enough room on the streets behind Anodyne that your should find space within a couple blocks. I like it, but don't quite love it.More

Had appetizer of the roasted garlic spread, green salad with all kinds of goodies and a pizza that was too notch. This place is a gem and I don't drink coffee. The food was excellent and I'd definitely go back.

..if you're into beets of course! I met up with a co-worker and her Aunts for pizza after work and the pizza was excellent! I got there before them and I couldn't wait to have at a pizza out for their huge wood grilled oven...that's located right in the middle of the restaurant! Once my co-worker arrived with her Aunt, her Aunt is really into beer! I didn't see beer at all on the menu and for that reason, they opted to leave and go elsewhere. I was soo disappointed as I really really wanted to try their pizza, well lowe and behold, they do have a separate menu with beer and wine on it! YAE!! Thank goodness we were able to stay! We ordered 4 pizzas for the 4 of us, in which we thought that would be waaay too much, yet we wanted to try so many different ones! We got the Jimmy mac, Beet, Veggie, and Margherita. I wanted the Beet and Margherita and they were both excellent! I actually enjoyed the beet and goat cheese moreso. The Jimmy mac had sausage on it and I didn't try it, I'm not keen on everyone's sausage and I was right on for not having a slice as her Aunt didn't really care for it! My co-worker loved the veggie though, it had broccoli on it, that's a new one for me. The atmosphere was really really laid back and it's actually a really nice place to chill with family or friends. You actually have to stand in line and order your food and they'll bring it out to you. They do bus your tables for you though, so that's a plus. We just were confused as to if we should leave a tip or not as they're not really waitresses and they don't ask if you need anything! We ended up being there for over 2 hours just talking and I see that many people bring their young children in there as well. They also sell backed goods, I had a piece of their peanut butter cookie, that was pretty good too! Oh yea it's also a coffee house, too bad I didn't try any of their coffee, maybe next time!More

We frequent here often and can't say enough about the service and beverages. Bay View has special places, but Anodyne has that extra touch. Well done. If your from out of town, this is a must go!

I love going to Anodyne for coffee. Went last Saturday in the afternoon and decided to try the pizza too. It was hard to choose from the extensive menu. I had the Fungi and add onion and tomato. So good! Could have ate the whole...thing but saved a couple slices for a snack later in the day. Another great choice when looking for a very good pizza!More
