We are obsessed with old-fashioned Wisconsin supper clubs, and always seek them out whenever we travel the state. The Buckhorn is a favorite. The duck entre is usually the dish of choice and the Sunday night special broasted chicken is also delicious. Chico and his family run a great business. Service is always efficient and friendly. There's a very nice... More

We're 2 couples from Rockford il and decided to take a little drive to have dinner Sat. night. We had heard from a friend that Buckhorn supper club in Milton Wi was really good. No one has a Supper Club any more except a few in WI where I believe they started. We sat the bar for a couple cocktails.... More

The road sign made this an unexpected visit. The place is like stepping back in time with decor ranging from the 1960s to 1980s. The service was excellent with the family owners overseeing the dining room. The menu offered a wide variety of beef, pork, and seafood. The prices were about 15% higher than expected but they must charge for... More

If you want a very nice place on a lake, this is a very nice place no Lake Koshkono, the view of the lake is very nice, eat outside at sunset. We enjoyed a great dinner and gorgeous sunset overlooking Lake Koshkonong on a recent Sunday evening! The spacious outdoor patio is covered, surrounded by trees and provides an unobstructed view of the lake from just about any table. It was less busy on a Sunday evening, so we relaxed with cocktails while waiting for our food. I would recommend the... More

I went with family to celebrate my birthday, and we wanted to go somewhere nice. We didn't really know what to expect, and were surprised by the prices. We were pleasantly surprised, however, by the taste of the food so the prices were almost worth it. We were seated rather quickly on a Friday evening. They did nothing special for... More

Friday night fishfry-my wife had the no taste cod with its plain flour breading. Along with it, she received bowl of slaw and a baked potato. I had fish with a bland salsa on it. It may have been better if the chef has placed the fish on a draining towel to take the excess water off of it and... More

We love supper clubs! We were on our way home from UW-Whitewater and decided to swing by the Buckhorn to try it out. SO glad we did. We did come at prime dining time on a Saturday, so we did have to wait at the bar for a table. If it wasn't cool and breezy we would have waited outdoors. The... More

Enjoyable evening starting at the traditional in the round bar, good honest drinks. Our group had the specials of the evening, prime rib and lamb chops. Fantastic. The crab cakes are SUPERIOR. Two to a plate. Meaty and pan grilled, big enough for an entree. Will be returning to enjoy another great meal!

We were staying in the local RV park, and we met family at the restaurant for dinner. This place came highly recommended from several family members. We were a party of 6, and we made a reservation. The only part of our night that wasn't on par was that we were seated at least 30 minutes after our reservation time.... More
