We made a reservation ahead of time for Friday night at 6:30pm to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant opens at 4pm. We ordered two top shelf drinks, appetizer, & entree. The bill came to just over $100 before added fees, taxes, & tip. They were out of the appetizer we really wanted after only two hours of being open. We then chose the most expensive appetizer left on the menu worth considering, which was not good and was drenched in some sort of vinegar sauce. The entree was fine but nothing fancy. Upon receiving the bill we were then charged an up fee for an extra plate which we were not advised of ahead of time. My overall feeling as we have eaten here before (as there are not many options in the area and hoping it was just an off night) is that it is extremely high price for substandard food. Additionally, we should have been advised of the up charge ahead of time. Tired of being nickel and dimed for substandard services and food. I’m pretty sure that if Dave Ramsey visited this Supper Club there would be a complete overhaul and it would be given D+. If you’re going to charge customers exorbitant prices then the environment inside and outside needs to be updated and the quality of food better match in return what you are charging customers.

We are at Lake Koshkonong for our honeymoon. We decided to treat ourselves tonight and the Buckhorn Supper Club was the prefect place to celebrate. We ate on the patio and watched a beautiful sunset. Our service was wonderful. We stared with drinks and an appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops. The homemade dressings were both excellent. The house poppyseed was my favorite. Warm rolls served right before our meals arrived. My husband went with the prime rib and I had the fried shrimp, both served with fresh baked potatoes. We wanted to experience it all so we got key lime pie to take home. This place was the perfect ending to a wonderful honeymoon. If you are in the area, make the time!

My husband and I drove from Indiana to meet my cousin, who drove from St. Paul to experience the lobster boil at The Buckhorn Supper Club. It was a great experience and worth the drive. Our evening began with drinks in the bar. We all enjoyed a glass of Old Fashioned, a white wine from Drumlin Ridge Winery in Waunakee. A nice selection of local wines and beer is available. I also had a brandy old fashioned sweet. My cousin had a bourbon old fashioned. Before the boil began we moved to the patio which has a lovely view of the lake. We were able to see the lobster boil from the patio, but most walked down the hill to watch. After the boil we moved to the dining room to have our meal. Dinner began with a Caesar Salad and a piece of jalapeño cornbread. The lobster arrives at the table plates with a potato, corn on the cob and the whole lobster. Staff circulates the room helping guests to shell the lobster. For dessert we were treated to a fudge brownie with grasshopper ice cream. White and red wine are also included. Except for the lobster, you can enjoy additional helpings of the sides. The meal was great. The staff works hard to make sure everyone is enjoying their evening. Matt and Chico moved around the dining room to check on their guests and made sure everyone is enjoying their meal. I would recommend the lobster boil. We are looking forward to returning in the future to try the regular menu.

So disappointed! Expected a special night to celebrate my birthday, but there was nothing special about this place (except the view). Worst brandy old fashioned ever...no muddled fruit, and very light on the brandy. Asparagus soup was inedible, mashed potatoes were cold and our waitress was not the least bit friendly. My filet was good, but overall, a VERY below average experience with WAY above average prices. The Stagecoach and the new Northshore Chophouse are far better than the Buckhorn. We won’t be back.

Been a while but was looking forward to a road trip up to the Buckhorn. Arrived and was quickly seated and served a drink. All downhill from there. The appetizers came out quite slow and our dinners took over an hour after that. Men being men we managed through our good but less than spectacular fish entrees. The women had lost most of their appetite and took most of their prime rib home. No word from the manager. Left the poor waitress to do the apologizing for the wait long wait. The experience no longer justifies the prices. Won't be back.

Drove past many time on motorcycle trips but never stopped, finally my husband made reservations and for the 45 minute drive that it took us to get here, it was well worth it. Since this being our first time we arrived early and had a drink at the bar, both cocktails were excellent Sat down promptly at our reservation time, was welcomed by our server who also was training someone, order our food , hubby had the baked French onion soup which he said was excellent. Both of our entrees came out, hubby had the steak, I had the salmon both again EXCELLENT!!! Never once did we feel rushed, server was great at pacing from the soup, to salad, to entrees. Bothe servers were very attentive and made us feel Welcomed. Definitely worth the trip and most definitely we'll be back.

Just simple folks from Chicago Mrs. & Mr. Contreras It was a bright beautiful morning; sun was beaming bright on us for our journey blessing to begin. Our day began with City Hall, we had just got our marriage license, as the excitement aroused, we drove out to Wisconsin in search of the Buckhorn Super Club we found online. A two-hour drive away from the city for tranquility. When we arrived at Milton Wisconsin, we found ourselves realizing how peaceful, clam, relaxing, soothing and restful this area was, absolutely no city noise. The restaurant sits on a view of the Lake Koshkonong. When we enter the Buckhorn Super Club Restaurant, we were greeted by the owner welcoming smile from Shelly and a live Loster. we learned that on this day they were having an outdoor Loster Boil. All you can drink red or white wine, Caesar salad, corn on cob and jalapeno cornbread one big lobster per person delicious! As we were enjoying the dinner Mr. Matt the other owner was making his round to each table introducing himself greeting and sharing stories, The ambience was pleasant with dinner music, a bar, perfect lighting and warm-hearted welcoming people. What a humble pair these owners Shelly and Matt were. The ambience was pleasant with dinner music, a bar, perfect lighting and warmhearted welcoming people. outstanding place worth the drive. Thank you for the Loster Boil memory.

A very nice meal in the dining room, but unpleasant bar experience. As a couple, we arrived an hour before our 5:30 reservation to enjoy a few cocktails and celebrate a birthday. The blonde, female bartender was so unpleasant, sarcastic, and rude that we had to assume she simply did not want to be working this job. Today. Or ever. The drinks were wrong…. no olive juice in a dirty martini and who knows what was included in a simple vodka gimlet. We were seated in the dining area close to our reservation time, and Garret provided us with friendly and attentive service for the entire meal. Prime rib at $50.00+ was good, and although they weren’t large, five broiled scallops were also tasty for $44.00. The menu was quite limited, but the choices were adequate. We finished our evening with glass of wine, but sat outdoors to appreciate a gorgeous sunset and avoid Ms. Grumpy Pants behind the bar.

I called for reservations, earlier this week, left the appropriate information, and received a confirmation call back with reservations time. My wife and I both tried the king cut of prime rib that was fabulous. I also tried the french onion soup, that was great. By referral I ordered the peanut butter pie that was the best I’ve ever tasted. All in all, including the great service, couldn’t say enough good things about this location, including Sinatra era music.

This was my wife and my first time back to a restaurant for dinner. We are both quite conscious of heath concerns and try hard to follow common sense sanitation guidelines. The Buckhorn did not disappoint. We made reservations early in the week and requested to sit on their patio. Upon arrival, there were several clean and separated picnic tables for us to sit and enjoy a cocktail. When our table was ready, we were impressed at the cleanliness and distance between diners. It was also obvious that the staff had been thoroughly briefed on appropriate COVID etiquette and all visible staff wore masks. The food was outstanding as always. We will not hesitate choosing the Buckhorn again for an enjoyable evening out!

Have driven past the sign for this supper club a number of times on our way to/from east and west Wisconsin. Decided to take a road trip for dinner. Place is in a great location, right on the lake. Bar has that supper club feel which is nice. We had a larger group and the table was a bit narrow with older chairs. Good views of the lake from the dining area. Our waitress was great, friendly and spot on with orders. For appetizer, we had spinach artichoke dip which was AMAZING. Best we ever had. I had French onion soup and my wife a salad, both good, along with bread/crackers and cheese spread basket. My wife enjoyed a filet with baked sweet potato which she said was very good. I had fried walleye which tasted a bit fishy and a baked potato. Our friends and us ordered grasshopper drinks for dessert. Theirs came out Instagram pic worthy and ours was melted. Overall a really great place that I would try again when the weather is nice so we could eat on the patio.

Stopped here for a patio drink (HUGE Grasshoppers!) and their awesome peanut butter pie. Sat on their patio and really enjoyed the gorgeous view. Had dinner at another restaurant prior, but would definitely go back here for after dinner drinks and desserts.

Beautiful setting . The food did not meet expectations. I had some kind of Hawaiian fish that was overcooked and dry. My husband had scallops..5 tiny scallops for over $40.00.

Not a very pleasant experience won't go back. Mac and cheese was from a Box and they charged $12 for a child. Food was overpriced. Not Worth it.

Old fashioned: 5 - It wasn’t muddled; honestly we make them better than what they served. Ambiance: 8 - definitely an school school super club. Water views were fantastic. Food: 8 - salad, meat and potatoes - Go Wisconsin. Large portions and very tender and well seasoned meat. Only change would be to offer a side of veggies. After dinner drink: 9 - had the grasshopper of course. Huge portion. Great flavor.
