I went with family to celebrate my birthday, and we wanted to go somewhere nice. We didn't really know what to expect, and were surprised by the prices. We were pleasantly surprised, however, by the taste of the food so the prices were almost worth it. We were seated rather quickly on a Friday evening. They did nothing special for... More

Friday night fishfry-my wife had the no taste cod with its plain flour breading. Along with it, she received bowl of slaw and a baked potato. I had fish with a bland salsa on it. It may have been better if the chef has placed the fish on a draining towel to take the excess water off of it and... More

We love supper clubs! We were on our way home from UW-Whitewater and decided to swing by the Buckhorn to try it out. SO glad we did. We did come at prime dining time on a Saturday, so we did have to wait at the bar for a table. If it wasn't cool and breezy we would have waited outdoors. The... More

Enjoyable evening starting at the traditional in the round bar, good honest drinks. Our group had the specials of the evening, prime rib and lamb chops. Fantastic. The crab cakes are SUPERIOR. Two to a plate. Meaty and pan grilled, big enough for an entree. Will be returning to enjoy another great meal!

We were staying in the local RV park, and we met family at the restaurant for dinner. This place came highly recommended from several family members. We were a party of 6, and we made a reservation. The only part of our night that wasn't on par was that we were seated at least 30 minutes after our reservation time.... More

The waitresses and bartenders were accommodating and friendly. The food was very disappointing for the price. It lacked flavor and esthetics. I don't think we will be going back.

Tasteless. Near the bottom of the list for supper clubs in southern Wisconsin. We went with a group of four and none of us enjoyed the food. The filet had good texture but no seasoning. Very bland. The mushrooms that accompanied the filet also had no seasoning. Another puzzling taste was the garlic mashed potatoes. It had a fishy taste.... More

My husband and I were here recently for the Friday night fish fry. Everything from the outdoor seating area, to the food and service was excellent! We love supper clubs and this one turned into one of our favorites. We plan on going back quite often. They also have a lobster boil once a month and we plan on returning... More

Food very good! And, location, lakeview, ambience...all A+ But, the service was rather slow. After 10 minutes had to ask for a breadbasket. 15 minutes for a shrimp cocktail. I ordered the seafood treasure chest, it comes with a lobster tail. The scallops, shrimp, cod were delightful. But there was a problem in the kitchen with the lobster tail and... More

My husband and I are part of a rotating supper club group, which makes us the lucky beneficiaries of lots of "old time" supper club experiences. We went to Buckhorn last night - our group of 6 had salmon, tilapia, prime rib, shrimp, and lobster tail. The service was friendly and fun and I can't recommend the food highly enough.... More
