Starting with excellent, prompt service, this is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We love the breakfasts at Sofra, with many menu options and consistently delicious food, perfectly prepared. Be sure to try their homemade Armenian sausage! Sofra is a restaurant where you can have a conversation,...too -- unlike many diners, they have paid attention to sound reduction in their design. The service is fast, the servers are friendly, and the coffee is great.More
We came here on a Monday afternoon during Covid so we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was great. I wanted to try some of the more daring Albanian menu items but my daughter (she's 9) had her heart set on sharing...an omelet with me. All our food was delicious. Some of us had food to take home for another meal but my boys ate ALL their sandwiches...they said the food was too good not to just eat it all. And then they had a stomach ache because it was too much!More
Terrific selections if you're vegetarian. My meal was one of the best I have enjoyed in Madison. My friend said her meal, non vegetarian, was infused with wonderful combination of warm spices. Decor is delightful. Staff very helpful in explaining each menu item that we...were considering. Will be one of our return to restaurants.More
We took our one year old & four year old grandkids to Sofra for breakfast. The food was delicious & the service was great! We liked it so much we returned the following week with our grandkids. we have been there in the past for...dinner, but never breakfast. we would highly recommend it!More
This restaurant was recommended by staff at the Mustard Museum. It was a short walk away and one of the places open on a Sunday afternoon. We had a late lunch and had the place virtually to ourselves. We were seated at a window table...and settled on Bistro Sandwiches. We enjoyed a Salmon Club and a Smoked Turkey with Bacon Club. Both had grilled bread much like a Panini, one with a cup of soup and the other with a cabbage salad. The food was good but we’d like to return to try breakfast or some other lunch items to see if we’d like them better. The service was good and the staff friendly. The only issue was that the Diet Coke that one of us was flat, non-carbonated. It was taken away and we weren’t charged.More
