I have been coming to this place when I lived in Milwaukee since 1990. My favorite has always been the breaded eggplant! It is always full of flavor and fresh, and cooked to perfection. During this specific trip, I sat at the bar; which you...will find full of locals that have been coming there for many years. As each local walks in, they are greeted by the bartender and other patrons around the bar, like a scene from the TV sitcom Cheers! I ordered the meat Ravioli and it did NOT disappoint! It was fresh, cooked just right and the marinara sauce was spectacular. The portion size was enormous and the meal came with soup or salad. I could not finish the final 8th shell! This is a family business and the owners are very much involved in it every day. It has a great atmosphere and the courteous and attentive staff you will find in the area. The waitress I had (I had to order through a waitress and not the bartender for food even though I was at the bar - I thought this was a little odd) was attentive and on top of it even though she had tables throughout the restaurant. Besides for the few new GreenBay Packer memorabilia from recent winning years and new players; the inside has been in a time capsule since the first day I walked in here in 1990. This is not a negative, it is a true positive. It is great to see what I consider a staple of culinary excellence in the Northwest metropolitan area still around, still thriving and still providing amazing food and great service is a testimony to the Armeli's.More
