If you love chocolate, this is the place for you! Enjoy a free sample, and then take some home to enjoy later. The hand made chocolates are created using family recipes dating back more than 50 years! You can choose already packaged boxes, or creatively select your own choices for your unique box. Also on site is a small ice... More

I grew up in Manitowoc. My Mom would take us here as a special treat back in the 1960's. We always would order Olive Nut Sandwiches. YUMMY! I know of no other place that you can get this sandwich. Then we would buy some of their homemade chocolate. The inside still looks like it did when I was a kid.... More

Everything sold here is absolutely delicious but I love the Coney Island sundae with marshmallow fluff and fruit, it's just super yummy!

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate. Coffee might not their normal thing to serve coffee to go. Awkwardly stood at the front counter as kids crowded in to look at the candy, while the waitress find and filled a styrofoam cup for me and added the cream cup to it. Delicious chocolate, though!! I... More

After dinner we walked to Beerntsen's for a little dessert. Very charming establishment with a great array of chocolates and ice cream treats. Beautiful old wood booths to enjoy your indulgence in. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Bottom Line: Don't count calories, just go and enjoy!

This store is a super candy store, ice cream parlor and just an attraction. Many many children were eating large sundaes and ice cream cones. It was too busy for us to sit down but we bought some delicious dark chocolate sea salt caramels. Well worth the stop. A small area but full of treats. Parking is not a problem.

I always order the Black Forest Ham sandwich on dark rye bread. It is freshly made and comes with a pickle and side. My kids love the PB&J, grilled ham and cheese or Reuben. You should also try one of the many varieties of lemonade. Strawberry lemonade is my favorite. It's also a wonderful place to stop if you are... More

We were drawn in for the chocolates and ice cream and found out that they served food. We all had the half sandwich with a cup of soup - delicious! They were both so good. No room for ice cream but bought some chocolates for later. Would definitely stop in again when coming to Manitowoc.
