If you haven't been to the "North Woods" of Wisconsin, then you might not know that nice places to eat are pretty hard to come by. This establishment, regardless of its beautiful location down a tree-laden road, on a gorgeous lake, would probably rank highly...on trip-advisor for the service and food quality alone. When you combine all those things and it's awesome decor and atmosphere, well then you have yourself an absolute gem. Service was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgable of the menu. Despite the restaurant being quite full, the pacing of the meal was excellent. The menu was surprisingly diverse and the chef had some creative twists as specials. There's a full bar and the Old Fashioned I had was fantastic. Our meals, including dessert, were delish and no leftovers were left on anyone's plates. While not 'value priced', you definitely get what you pay for here. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service, wonderful family dinner experience in the North Woods. Would definitely go back!More

Saw Aberdeen advertised with photos. It looked so impressive. We decided to take a ride to the restaurant. It did not disappoint. Beautiful restaurant with Northwoods feel. Huge, two story window overlooking the lake. Dana, the bartender greeted us. Very friendly and enjoyed our conversation...with her. She made a great old fashioned! Izzy, our waitress was also very attentive and pleasant. My husband had the Bourbon Shrimp and I had the Spanish Pork. Both were OUTSTANDING! Our compliments to the chef! Highly recommended by us. We will be back!!!!!More

I can't say enough positive comments on our experience at Aberdeen! First of all, the location is nestled away in the woods overlooking the lake, inside the atmosphere is warm and inviting and cozy, great décor, then the owner , Larry, goes above and beyond...to make you feel right at home! It was our 30th anniversary and I requested a table by the window and he gave us 2 options! So friendly and kind! The bartender, Dana, is amazing and makes a delicious bourbon old fashioned! She gave us options on how to order the perfect one! Fabulous! Our server, Belle, was wonderful! She was patient and personable and attentive , just the right amount. THEN... the food was out of this world and the price for what you get, is amazing! We will be going there every time we go to Northwoods! A 30th anniversary we will never forget! Thank YOU all!More

We stumbled onto this gem while searching for a spot that wasn’t overrun with motorcycles during the rally weekend. Our dining experience was perfect, the food expertly prepared and the entire staff, especially our waitress was conscientious. The building itself is a beautiful lodge with...a huge stone fireplace dominating one entire wall. We were so happy to have found Aberdeen’s!More

This is a beautiful pine-panelled lodge set back in the woods with huge windows overlooking a small bay on the south end of Lake Manitowish. You can boat or drive in. We have been there twice now, and can't give higher marks. Both times, the...owner has been the host and "wine steward," and he'll swing by your table about 3 times during the meal to check in. And since reasonably well-dressed (business casual) middle-aged folk are somewhat of a rarity in Northern Wisconsin, he correctly guessed it was our anniversary celebration. The service is fast, attentive, and friendly, and the food is excellent (we've had both fish and steak items). It's usually full, so best to try to get a reservation, but they do keep a good number of tables set aside for walk-ins, though expect to wait an hour in the bar at peak times. As for us, we will be back.More

Not wanting to do any flying yet because of COVID, we decided to return to Manitowish Waters for a fall vacation. The fall view from the Aberdeen's windows was so beautiful. My husband and I ordered a take out dinner of Blackened Salmon Teriyaki and...it was outstanding. The next day we had our son and grandchildren with us and since we had enjoyed our salmon takeout the night before, we ordered it again. All of us enjoyed our dinners. The atmosphere of the Aberdeen is so "Up North" and rustic. We look forward to returning next fall.More

A beautiful setting for dinner in the northwoods. Larry greeted and seated us and Emily was our server. Both were incredibly professional and hospitable. We felt "at home" as soon as we walked in. We started with a couple of generously poured old fashions. The...Hungarian mushroom soup was excellent. My wife's ribs were some of the best she ever had. I had the blackened walleye over rice smothered in a well-spiced Cajun crawfish cream sauce. It was honestly one of the best things I've eaten in years. Topped it off with a shared creme brulee.
