Our first visit tonight despite having lived in the area for 10 years! Food was absolutely gorgeous, fresh and tasty. The staff were super friendly, and polite. We had Lamb Burger & Fries and Hog Dog & fries along with a side of meatballs, all gorgeous!! Decor was exactly as you'd hope, and the ambience was lovely! We'll definitely be... More

Took my son for a birthday meal here and it is well worth a visit. Staff are good and the food is good quality if you're a burger fan. A little on the expensive side but you have to go for the experience. Could really do with being sited elsewhere as the location is a big let down.

There's no denying it, the decoration here is great and the young staff incredibly friendly. It's in a very odd location opposite a cement factory, next to waste ground in the middle of nowhere but I think this kind of adds to the authenticity to be honest. It's a genuine old rail car / trailer diner imported from the US... More

Me and my partner are staying in the lodge about 5 mins away and was looking for someone where to eat! Found the American diner and thought why not let's give it a try! We didn't book but got there and they gave us a table straight away they obviously asked for it back in an hour but that didn't... More

Well this was a turn up for the book. I went to Donisthorpe to collect something I won on EBay, and asked the seller where we might get some lunch. He suggested his mum's diner... and told us where it was. Why not, we thought. Wow! Glad we did. The funky tin trailer looks tiny from the outside, and it... More

We dropped in without a booking but they managed to squeeze us in. It is definitely worth booking though. The atmosphere is fab and the diner looks amazing. The menu is extensive with plenty to choose from and the portions were big too. The kids menu had lots of choice and was very reasonable at just shy of £6 for... More

Not so nice outside, but lovely inside you forgot what was outside. Nice, quirky little diner. Make sure you pre-book. Very clean. Food portions are huge! Didnt have any toom for dessert which was a shame. Can see food being cooked and prepped. Staff were very pleasant and polite. All dressed up in 50s wear. Young, blonde waitress was fantasic.... This was my second time at the diner and it didn't disappoint. Three of us went, between us we had a burger, hotdog and steak. All three were tasty and well cooked. The prices are reasonable and the portions big! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere completed a good eating experience. I've seen a few reviews of people complaining about a... More

Yes this place is worth s look and definitely have a milkshake. Sadly though the food quality versus the price point are way out of line. I agree with previous reviewers that is smells of cooking fat, it does. But it's the food quality that really puts me off here. Really low quality ingredients in the burger and hotdogs were... More
