Very disappointing menu choices and poor service. One waiter almost slid the sandwich into our laps and he had no idea who had ordered what. The sandwich was greasy and the fries not at all crisp. The waitress would not bring the dessert menu and tried to get us to order dessert before everyone had even finished. What a change... More

Replacing the flowery tea room decor with sleek and simple decor was a great move. Unobstructed view was spectacular. Strange that bussers left unused place settings on all tables. As it turned out this was helpful for us when my partner dropped his fork---waitress took it but didn't bother to replace. Signature hamburger was gussied up with house made tomato... More

We arrived by boat Sunday evening. The weather was beautiful and the lake gorgeous. We were seated at a table right near the window. The service was outstanding. We asked several questions regarding the menu selections and the waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. My husband had the seafood chowder and I had the buratta with heirloom tomatoes. Both were excellent.... More

When we entered the restaurant, the hostess had told us the establishment had just undergone $3M worth of renovations and it's WORTH it!! My husband, an electrician, noted that they put can lights close to ceiling fans, giving some lighting a strobe-like effect - but really, if you weren't in the industry you never would have noticed. The food was... More

Had several glasses of wine and a Tuna Tartare. The wines were great and the Tuna was fantastic. The whole place has been remolded and has a modern new look. Larry and Jim were cordial and kept our drinks full. I can't wait to have a full dinner there.

My family celebrated my birthday with me a few weeks ago at the Grandview. Service was non-existent, sent my entree back (linguini w/langostino lobster in buerre blanc) as it was served luke warm and the buerre blanc was a watery muddy grey sauce. A scoop of ice cream was served to me with a candle but none of the staff... More

As friends we have visited here many times over the years for group gatherings and small romantic evenings. Yes, the facility was dated but the service and the meal was always excellent. Now the facility is upgraded to a nice modern interior but the experience lacks the pizzazz to make us want to return. Gone are the white tablecloths. Gone... More

We stayed at the inn and had an anniversary dinner that we ate at the restaurant with our two small kids. The portions are small compared to other places in lake Geneva. The trout I ordered came with a smattering of potatoes. We ordered 2 risotto with extra shrimps and a linguini also. Without alcohol, and two desserts on the... More

My husband and I have been regular patrons at the Geneva Inn and the Grandview Restaurant for the past forty-five years. Our recent breakfast in the newly remodeled facility was less than overwhelming. About the only thing that remained worth the time and price was the always spectacular view of the lake. My husband's Geneva Inn breakfast arrived cold, and... More
