Wow. I’ll admit that I had some hesitancy towards visiting after reading a few reviews. Gosh, I am beyond happy that I ignored them. Every single bite was absolutely delicious to both my pregnant self and my husband who enjoys the finer things. Between us, we had the center-cut filet medium done, the pork chop with apples on top, carrots for a side, the phenomenal crispy Brussel sprouts, the insanely delicious shrimp tempura roll that took shrimp tempura to another level, and the flourless chocolate cake. There’s no way my husband would have ordered a flourless chocolate cake but can instill you we absolutely were blown away by this dessert?! It was topped with toasted Marshmallow and the “cake” which was much more like decadent chocolate fudge, was sitting atop a true homemade caramel. Ugh. If I could just eat this (and afford it!) every day, I would. Our bill was $250 with our espresso and virgin wine, so yes it was pricey but we’ve paid the same at the grand Geneva’s restaurant and we’re much happier here. 10/10!

The Hunt Club was a bit difficult for us to find, but a relaxing setting in which to dine. The service was great and not pushy about appetizers, drinks and dessert, etc. We were on a tight schedule and the server accommodated. A little pricey, but the food was simple and good. My husband had steak and I had fish.

After doing some research for our weekend getaway in Lake Geneva, The Hunt Club came up as one of the top restaurants to try. My boyfriend and I are big fans of trying new steak houses, so we were excited to find this one. The spot itself is GORGEOUS, and situated on a golf course. We got seated right in front of the window, so we were able to have a dinner and a show (watching a few groups pass through while golfing). Also, we loved that they had the Bucks game playing on in the bar, so we could catch up on that between conversation. Our server was excellent, super nice, friendly, and very attentive. We tried the beef skewers for an appetizer, side of mushrooms to share, and each had the filet for our main entree. Although we did enjoy our meal, my favorite kind of filet is the center cut, and it was clear that this filet wasn't. The flavor, of course, was there, but it definitely wasn't the best cut of meat I've ever had. Although I am spoiled by having many excellent steakhouses near our place in Milwaukee, if you are in the Lake Geneva area this is a great alternative. We were so stuffed, we didn't have room for dessert, but I am sure that would have been delicious, as well.

Used to be my favorite spot, my daughter had her wedding at the resort along with rehearsal dinner at the Hunt Club. I keep trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, but over and over again in the last two years it falls short. Service, attitude of management, food, all subpar. So I am done. Lake Geneva has many restaurants that are consistent at a much higher level than this.

Being from the NYC area, I admit that we are used to great steakhouses. The Hunt Club Setting is lovely and we were seated at a nice table overlooking the lake. Prices are on par with what we'd expect in a restaurant like this. We enjoyed the mussels we shared to start. We both ordered filet mignon of different weights - mine medium and my husband's medium rare. Unfortunately both came undercooked and had to be sent back. We ordered marsala mushrooms and whipped potatoes on the side. The mushrooms were tasty but got dried out waiting for our steaks to return. The potatoes were dry and bland. Once the steaks returned cooked as ordered, we did feel that they were the best part of our meal. Not sure I'll return since we ate in some places we enjoyed more in the Lake Geneva area.

Big mistake coming here to dine!! 3 different waiting staff came to our table after we were seated and introduced themselves stating their name and saying "I'll be looking after you" Dont understand why the first two waiting staff were changed. Seats seem aged & very uncomfortable. Menu meals are overpriced for what you get. One of us ordered filet steak and expressly told waiter "well done, no pink" Thats not how it came!! 2 tables beside had 2 different groups of extremely loud mouthed man who proceeded to laugh hilariously and were oblivious to the fact that they were so annoying. So if you are wanting to have a nice quiet venue for a romantic meal, as my wife & l were, don't come here. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend & wouldn't come sfain.

I'd like to start by saying that I'm well aware of staffing shortages and long wait times and that is not my concern here. My concern is that our server Pamela was one of the worst I've ever encountered. For starters all courses, drinks, apps, dinner AND dessert, were set down incorrectly and we had to pass our food around to the correct people. When dinner came I had a sauce on my plate that was for someone else, Pamela decided it would be a good idea to take it off of my plate (touching my food with her fingers in the process) and give it to the correct person. This alone was disgusting. Mind you, I can get past most of these issues, people are busy and I understand that need to get moving and missing something. The real issue comes from the checks...when she was told that we would need to split our checks at the end of our meal she became even more abrasive and began to rudely ask what everyone had ordered. After everything was confirmed per person she came back to the table with our split checks and announced to the table "Just so you're aware next time you decide to dine here or ANYWHERE for that matter, you should always let the server know at the beginning of your meal that you will be splitting the check". Not only was that incredibly off-putting but none of our checks were correct and we once again needed to split things ourselves. It's not difficult to split a check and any good server would know to ask a larger party right off the bat if they would need to be splitting things. Simply put, it's pure laziness. By the end of the night our entire party practically ran out the door as we did not feel welcomed at that point. I tried to reach out to the manager, Martha, and when I received a call back she became defensive and dismissive. I don't feel that anything was resolved and the fact that a manager of a restaurant would like to defend someone who is so blatantly rude to their guests is beyond me. I will not be recommending this establishment in the future as it's very clear their service standards have dropped dramatically.

Thank you for your feedback on your dining experience here at the Hunt Club. I apologize for everything that you experienced that night and with the follow up phone call. That is definitely not the standard that we represent, and it seems we failed you on many levels. I would love for you to call us back, you can ask for the manager, my name is Jason, and I would love to have a conversation about your previous experience and invite you back so we can demonstrate the high standards we hold ourselves to. Thank you.

For a steakhouse, the cut, flavor and the way our steaks were cooked were absolutely terrible. Undercooked, but still flavorless and tough. The wedge salad had no dressing. Drinks tasted off. Brought to servers and the manager, Chris’s, attention. Dismissive and still charged for everything after sending my dish back without it being remade. Very poor management at this establishment. Overpriced garbage in our opinion.

Had a gift certificate for almost a year and finally decided to use it as our usual Monday night place, Mars Resort, was closed for a private party. We started with a caesar salad and lobster bisque. The bisque was very good but the salad was just average as the dressing had little to no flavor. I ordered the 16oz ribeye medium rare and my wife had the mushroom pasta dish. The pasta dish was very good however the steak was closer to well done and very tough. Our server agreed it was over cooked and they tried again. This time is was closer to medium well but at least was somewhat chewable so managed to eat what I could. We opted for no dessert. Add in a bottle of wine and we were left with an underwhelming $200 dinner.

Hunt Club has been part of our family’s annual vacation tradition for years that has coincided with our daughter’s birthday. The food and view and service have been part of the treat. Until this year. The staff had no idea that we’d made a reservation for four adults a month before, including the request for a table with a view of the golf course. We were put at a huge table in a dark corner. Our food was ok, tho’ the lobster bisque barely had had a lobster crawl through it. Not as wonderful as it’s been. Steak, pork chop, salmon, and lamb chop were good—but we’ve have had much better in Chicago (and at home!). The service? Our waiter acted like he’d been “one of the boys at the bar” when he *finally* greeted us. He asked if we were celebrating anything. That, too, had been indicated on the reservation. His server-in-training actually should have been training him! She was attentive when she wasn’t having to cover his other tables. After the main course was delivered, however, no one came to the table to see if we needed anything else. We did flag the trainee down and placed an order for an afterthought side; she had to tell the trainer—whom and which we never saw. (We weren’t charged for it at least.) After dishes were cleared, another individual “tossed” the birthday dessert onto the table. We had to stop him to ask for coffee. By the time it came, we declined further desserts. All in all, our experience this year was very disappointing. Next year? Driving an hour into Chicago may be our choice rather than the 2+ hours to Lake Geneva’s Hunt Club. They need to fix things. The Covid-excuse doesn’t cut it.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the last six years with our kids and this last time recently was the real icing on the cake for both of us so to speak. My husband and I both ordered our steaks medium rare and they came out way over done. My husband’s steak actually looked more like medium well done. The Bernaise sauce my husband requested appeared orange in color and somewhat spicy, which was quite the contrast from what he has gotten there in the past. The macaroni and cheese was also pretty mediocre in comparison to how it has been in years past. We have noticed the steaks being overdone the last several years, but this time was by far the worst. Very disappointing given that this has been one of our favorite restaurants in Lake Geneva that we always try to stop at, but after this last visit, makes it hard to justify the almost $300 we spent on food and drinks.

Went with a group. Most had some type of meat for dinner, and thought their meals were good, although the servings were very small. Two of us had the pumpkin ravioli. We both were very disappointed with our meal. I would not suggest ordering this meal. The serving was small and so were the raviolis, which were hard and tough. It was almost like they took them and over baked them in an oven. If you like pumpkin ravioli, this is not the place to try them.

Thank you for providing feedback for us on your dining experience here at the Hunt Club, I apologize that the meal was not absolutely perfect for you on this evening. Our ravioli is toasted so it does have a bit more of a crunch than standard ravioli. I would love for you to come back and give us another try to wow your taste buds, if you could call the restaurant and ask to speak to the manager I would love to extend a complimentary appetizer for you and your guests. Thank you.

We have eaten here many times and enjoyed it, but the last two times were sad to say the least. Don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. Last night was our anniversary and a birthday. I will be brief. Waited over an hour for food. Appetizer was good when it finally came. French onion soup had no onions in it, just broth. My steak was cool. Husband said food was bland and way overpriced. I agree. Service was mediocre. Too many good restaurants to eat here again and pay almost $200 for an average meal with no alcohol.

We went here for our anniversary and were very disappointed. It took us and hour and 15 minutes to get served dinner. I felt the service was very slow and felt ignored and forgotten. We arrived at 7:15 and when we still had not gotten our dinner at 8:30 I was a out ready to walk out. Their service does not match their prices.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant of this caliber. 1 server for entire restaurant. Waited 15 to 20 to be recognized another 15 to 20 minutes to receive 1 of 3 drinks that we ordered. The manager just stood around and did nothing to help. To cut this short we walked out.
