In the spirit of the great “summer cottages” of yesteryear, the Baker House has created a world of Gilded Age living where grand entertaining is experienced daily and lavish parties are thrown nightly. Guests are entertained throughout the 1st floor of the historic mansion and in the lakefront garden with beautiful views of Geneva Lake from every angle. Grab a hat from the vintage collection hanging in the halls & travel back in time with us for a unique and entertaining experience of dining and imbibing!

We went for Valentine’s Day dinner. To start, there was no parking available. We got there early and I was glad we did.. It took us about 15 min to find a spot and that only after stalking people to leave. The house is beautiful,...More
I was really hopeful about this place after reading some good reviews.

The restaurant is fabulous and the hotel offers the best views in downtown Lake Geneva. The lake front park and the bustling downtown are all within walking distance, and after a long day or exploring the Baker House is a perfect place to lay your...More
Took my family there for a nice dinner after reading reviews. Such a unique setting, the food was great and our server was awesome. You don’t see the craftsmanship anymore like you do at the Baker house. It truly was a trip back in time....More

If he brings your bags to the room, turns on the fire place, turns the bed down, I usually provide a $5, then I provide a note of thanks and a larger amount in an envelope at the front desk with his name on it based on how much he assisted during my stay. They will bring breakfast in the morning, I would say $10-20 based again on how much they assisted during your stay. It can get a little tricky if the butler changes during your stay.
